Paid extra for express shipping but items are backordered for a week. Tried to cancel but Im told it's just too late. Terrible customer service. Not my first bad experience with the RCM. They always say someone will look into it but no one ever does.

Easy to deal with especially as a first time investor

I recently became a first time grandad & decided to order the current years Gold Sovereign as a present / long term investment for my grand daughter. You find out how good a company is when you have to resolve a problem. The sovereign arrived very quickly but their was a slight problem with the quality of the blister pack that it was housed in to the extent that I would have classed it as a second. I contacted customer services & they were brilliant - fully understood sent me a link for free return & they had that back & a new perfect one to me in under 7 days. Yes I did have a small problem but like I just said that is when you find out how good the company is & the service was excellent. Thank you Royal Mint. Depending on my funds I may be back for another one for my grand daughter or if we get a second grandchild I've started something now....

The Royal Mint experience is so good, our daughter has been several times now. The tours are always slightly different and today, Phil, who has only been here for 16 days, was excellent! He was engaging, knowledgeable and charismatic. The whole setup is great, really varied, informative and plenty to interact with. Try lifting a heavy gold bar, stroke your own coin, treasure hunts, videos, puzzles and more. Lots for all ages and abilities. Varied activities and special events throughout the year to mean every visit can be different. And how awesome to come to a place that has so much history and where every single coin we use now has been made. They even recycle electronics to extract precious metals, turning them into their own range of jewellery. And are working towards creating 100% of their own energy. Really great!

The royal mint sent me a duplicate coin and charged me twice, so I returned it for what that said was a simple error and refund procedure. That was 5 weeks ago and still not been refunded. Called several times now and then they refunded a different order completely and cancelled that order. I called them to find out why they did that, they didn’t know. So I spoke to Adam on Monday re the original refund and he said he would look into it and get back to me today. He didn’t get back to me so i called him and he had done nothing about it, and I have been told now for the 5th time they will raise the refund again, so after 5 weeks and no refund, and a cancelled order and wrong refund, I’m still no where further then I was 5 weeks ago when I was due the refund. I have even emailed them and asked for a manager to call me back but no reply from them either. When I asked Adam how long now for the returned if your re raising it again, and he said I can’t give you a time frame, yet on their own website it says 7-10 days, but he’s saying he can’t say. So now I just have to wait and wait and wait.
The royal mint are quick enough taking your money for coins even when they do not come out for several weeks they still take your money immediately. Yet when it comes to a refund they can’t even refund a duplicate coin that they sent to me in error and charged me twice for.
They know they have you as a customer if you collect coins so don’t really care about you as a customer at all. If I could get them somewhere else I would, as I think the royal mint customer service is diabolical, and they don’t care about their customers at all.

i received the pack wrapped in presentable boxes. although both identical, each baby first coin sets with booklets for keep sake to be completed. this is most appreciated

Bought the F1 coin for my friend's birthday. Delivery date was some time in September but received it in August. Brilliant. Perfect unique gift for my F1 fanatic friend.

Great representatives and communication! It can be a little difficult ordering online for delivery to the States (due to FX) but the representatives are quite helpful and kind. Would highly recommend and use again.
