Bit of inside information for those paid full wack, you was ripped off. £10 to go into a model centre that hardly works and breaks down. Prices are over inflated for what it was. Not enough seats at the gala on Saturday and people had to wait for next trains which was 40 mins apart. Poor poor service .
Dungeness was so filthy where it was cleaned in eating areas.
Then you have ANPR Cams now.
Just to let you know they cant charge you for parking at Dungeness due to it being a nature reserve.

Although the trains are nice but the gala on Saturday was really bad. Not enough carriages for people on at different stations. There where seat areas where you can get 5 people in but taken by two people who refuse to move. Perhaps next time add more carriages. The train times are spaced out longer unlike past galas. Paid for a day out but spent most the time waiting for get onto a train so we all can fit into. Especially as a family of 4. Staff should make sure people can get onto the train and for all to use. Perhaps limit tickets on the day so this is not over filled my people.

The restaurant at Dungeness was filthy as not cleaned. Food over the floor and messy tables. Poor service and hygiene.

Think again before going there. 🤔

I have been visiting the RHDR for over 50 years with generations of my children. Arrived today and they are charging for car parking. OK it is a charity but after paying over £100 for tickets I thought it was a liberty. But now come to paying none of their car park machines are working. Then pay on the web, ANPR camera are supposed to be in place. But when you pay you have to tell them which car park you used and the duration. You couldn't make it up.

I wanted to take someone in a wheelchair so got in touch re the size of the accessible carriage. They sent back all the measurements which helped greatly. I pre booked the train both ways and when we all arrived at Hythe I was greeted by name and when returning from Dymchurch the carriage had a reserved sticker on with my name. All went really smoothly and can't fault the day.

Had a fantastic day out on this one third steam railway. You don’t have to be a steam enthusiast to enjoy the experience of riding one of the fantastic steam engines here. Fantastic abd engaging staff. A great day out for big kids like me …. Or of course little ones too - I would highly recommend RHDR. (Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway).
