how about offering a "if you want to speak in English, press 2" (etc) option? It's very hard to understand all the French questions with traffic roaring past you and when you are very stressed after an accident. And I'm pretty good at French. Would also be a great selling point for them, "with Olivier, it doesn't matter if you are Spanish, Italian, German, Portuguese or Norwegian. You can speak English! It was stressful for me not to be able to explain exactly where I was in French.

For all the English speakers. WARNING!!! DO NOT INSURE YOUR HOME WITH L'OLIVIER. This company is a scam. Even the debt collectors called them scammers!!! I had a terrible experience with them, shocking in fact. I had a water pipe burst in my flat and serious water damage. Many photos and videos to prove it. The real estate of my rented flat told me to do a claim immediately as to get the costs covered. L'olivier denied the claim!!!!! Serious water damage, mould and floorboards completely damaged. understandably I no longer wanted to have them be my insurers and i was forced to pay 1200 euros to them to leave. You see if you make a claim during the current policy year (even an accident that wasn't your fault), you are contractually liable for the entire annual PREMIUM. If you pay monthly, they will demand the remaining balance of the full year's cost upfront before they let you close the account. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!!!

Following the assessment, the expert was unable to establish the value of your valuable items/books, as they were neither present on-site during the inspection nor visible in the photos provided, making it impossible to approve coverage. Regarding the structural damage to the flat itself, this falls under your landlord's insurance policy in accordance with regulations.
Concerning your contract, home insurance (covering at least Civil Liability) is compulsory for tenants in France, meaning policies cannot be canceled at will without proper proof. Following the stoppage of your monthly debits, your account went into unpaid status and was legally canceled after 50 days, leading to the remaining balance being transferred to a collection agency.
We apologize if these procedures were not clearly communicated to you. Our teams remain at your disposal should you require any further information.

I don't recommend this insurance to anyone
I bought a car insurance from this company and after 20 minutes they cancelled my contract for a racist reason (I didn't have a French driver's license). In the meantime they cashed the money I paid upfront for the whole year immediately. When I asked for my money back they told that I have to wait for at least 10 to 15 business days.
I recommend this company to no one!!! They're racist and thieves

Our company adheres to strict ethical standards, and the cancellation of your policy is based solely on objective and regulatory underwriting criteria. Indeed, our current insurance offers require a driving license issued within the European Economic Area (EEA). As we are unable to cover licenses from outside this geographical area, our system automatically processed the cancellation. Regarding the financial aspect, your annual premium was fully refunded by our services immediately upon cancellation. The 10 to 15 business days delay is solely due to standard interbank processing times required for the funds to be credited to your account.
