I came in with a slow puncture which was swiftly repaired by Dan and his crew. Always good service at Lindleys on Furlong Street.
The staff are very helpful, proficient and caring.
I will be taking my car back to them, should anything need doing. I feel that I can trust them.
Excellent customer service
Kept me informed when my car would be ready
Very clean waiting area
Staff very helpful
Had a puncture on way to hospital appt. Phoned saying I was on my way, needed help quickly. New tyre fitted and I was on my way 50 mins later. Amazing service again. Grateful thanks to all staff. Be back later in year for new front tyres. Gold star service all round.
For the second year in a row now, I have left the garage with a problem that wasn't present when the car went in for its service and MOT.
I took my car to the Old Basford branch last week and, as part of my service, paid for an air con service. I was told on the Friday evening that they were having issues with their machine and would need to keep the car overnight to complete the work the following morning. I didn't mind this and received a call Saturday morning to say it was ready.
However, when I collected the car, I immediately noticed that the air conditioning was no longer working and was blowing warm air. I rang them as soon as they opened on Tuesday morning after bank holiday. They assured me that the air-con service had taken place, but said it was likely to be a pressure or compressor issue. They immediately offered to investigate this, but at a £90 diagnostic cost to myself, despite the air conditioning having been working perfectly when I dropped the car off.
This is particularly frustrating because their own service report states that the air conditioning was checked and was operational. Their description of the service also states that the system is put under vacuum to check for significant leaks before being recharged. I'm therefore struggling to understand how the system could have been recorded as operational following the service when it was not working at all immediately after I collected the car.
I am not saying that the garage necessarily caused the fault but I would expect them to investigate a problem that appeared immediately after work was carried out on the system before asking me to pay another £90 for a diagnostic.
This is particularly disappointing after being a customer for 10+ years, during which I have always spoken very highly of Lindleys and regularly recommended them on social media and Trustpilot. Unfortunately, this is now the second year in a row that I have experienced an issue immediately following work carried out on my car. Last year, it was brake shim scoring following replacement of the driver-side front lower suspension arm.
I'm not expecting Lindleys to prevent every possible mechanical failure, but I do expect them to take responsibility for investigating problems that appear immediately after work they've carried out, rather than immediately passing the cost of diagnosis back to the customer.

Rang me back on a missed call when there had been no facility to leave a message. Attended in little over an hour. Explained the problem and involved me in the decision-making process. Price was reasonable. Was back on the road inside of 2 hours so very happy with the service.

Phoned Monday to see if I could get car booked in. Problem with front end. No appointments till Thursday.
Explained I was on nights, so could I leave it with them. Answer yes.
They rang me Tuesday to tell me what the problem was.
And they get the parts Wednesday.
I phoned Wednesday to see if they could also do my mot. After the repair had been done.
As it was due 11 days later, a yes answer was great to hear… Wednesday afternoon they rang me.
Come and pick your car up…. All sorted and mot’d. Now that’s what I care customer care.
