I had the patio done and I am happy with the job, the team are reliable and the work was done to a good standard, I would recommend them

I am absolutely disgusted by my experience with this company and would strongly advise anyone considering their services to stay well away.

A man knocked on my door looking smart and professional, presenting himself as trustworthy and honourable. His name was Joseph. He persuaded me to have my driveway redone. From the very beginning, I made it crystal clear that I wanted a concrete driveway. I repeated this numerous times, showed examples of exactly what I wanted, and specifically asked for confirmation that the driveway would be concrete. Every time, I was assured that this was exactly what they would provide.

I wanted to discuss the decision with my partner before agreeing, but the very next morning they turned up at my house at 7:00am asking for a decision. Their approach felt pushy, demanding and intimidating. After the intial contract signing, i never spoke to this man again. I think John knows that he won't make a good sales representative.

After signing the contract, I was explicitly told that I would not have to pay anything until the job was completed. The very next day, before they had even properly informed me they had arrived, they had already started breaking up my existing driveway. Once the work had begun, John immediately started asking me for money upfront. I reminded him that this was not what we had agreed. He refused to back down and kept pressuring me for payment, saying things such as, "Just give me half then," or "Give me whatever you have."

From that point onwards, it felt like a daily occurrence. Every day I was being asked for more money. I found the situation incredibly intimidating. In fact, I became anxious about going outside while they were working because I feared I would be confronted and pressured for more payments.

The following day, bricks were delivered to the kerbside, and I immediately became concerned because that was not what I had agreed to. I contacted John and raised my concerns. Once again, I was reassured that the driveway would be completed exactly as I had requested, using concrete, and that I had nothing to worry about. He told me they knew exactly what I wanted and that they would deliver it.

The very next day, they started laying bricks on my driveway.

At that moment, I realised I was never going to get the concrete driveway I had repeatedly asked for and been promised. By then, the work was already underway, they knew where I lived, and I felt completely intimidated and overwhelmed. Rather than challenge them further, I felt I had no choice but to go along with it.

I was so embarrassed by the whole situation that I even found myself telling family members that the work being done had been agreed to, simply because I didn't want to look foolish for having trusted these people.

To this day, I regret ever answering the door. I feel stupid for having trusted these people, but I also feel that I was subjected to relentless pressure, intimidation and broken promises from start to finish. Even now, seeing their branded trucks driving around makes me anxious, and I genuinely hope they don't remember me or my address. It has taken me a lot to put this review out there, but its summer again, and these poeple are peddling on our streets making it feel unsafe.

At the end, John asked me to give him a tip as he had done my drivewya on the cheap, and the tip would mean he can treat the workders to a drink in the pub! i thought what cheek! I gave him a tip through my window as i didnt evn want to go outside where he was, an absolutely awful man.

I am still absolutely livid about the way I was treated. They took a significant amount of my hard-earned money while failing to provide what was promised, and the entire experience has left me feeling deceived, embarrassed and deeply upset. I cannot understand how a company can operate in this manner and still expect to earn the trust of local people. After what I went through, I sincerely hope that other homeowners read reviews like this before making the mistake I did. I would not recommend this company to anyone, and I certainly would not want to see them continue to profit from treating customers the way they treated me. PLEASE read the 1 star comments, save yourself and your hard earned money, and help get these rogue traders off our streets.

Amazing experience! Great communication, very patient and understanding, and clearly takes pride in their work. They didn’t rush and made sure everything was done to a high standard. Highly recommend!

I hired them to carry out paving work, but unfortunately standard of workmanship was poor.

The paving was badly finished with areas not properly levelled and cuts and edges left untidy. overall the work did not meet a reasonable professional standard for paving. I raised my concerns, but communication was disappointing and the issues were not satisfactory resolved. Given the cost of job, i was expecting for better quality and attention to details.

I encountered ongoing requests for payment before the work was completed. I would strongly advise anyone considering hiring them to have a clear written agreement in place before work starts. This should clearly list everything included in the job, such as concrete, gravel, blocks, drainage, borders and any other agreed items

Based on my experience, i would not recommend them for paving work and would advise others to proceed with caution.

Avoid these cowboys at all cost.
Johnny is persuavise and convincing and will promise to give you the world.
Their work is rubbish.
He will demand money straight away and although I was informed I could pay by credit card after the work was done , he demanded money the next day and cash to pay the workers. I refused to pay him cash.He did not take kindly to that.
Do not trust him as far as you can throw him.
He did not come back to put the sand in the paving blocks drive.

They are cowboy builders, do not use them!

The operate unlicensed and will rip you off and carry out cowboy work. They are well known to operate in north / north west London and both Harrow council and Brent council enforcement teams are after them for ripping off customers and working without a licence.

My neighbour used them and they pressured her into paying £6k for a driveway she didn’t even ask for. They did such a bad job her car can’t even be parked on the drive anymore as it’s sinking. She asked them to come back and they never did and have now blocked her number.

Please stay away and do not use them.

I’m absolutely thrilled with the work they did! The team was incredibly friendly, professional, and the price was very reasonable. They were recommended to me by friends, and I’m so glad I chose them. I honestly don’t agree with some of the negative reviews I’d seen before, because my experience was nothing but positive. They did a fantastic job on my driveway and the end result looks great. I couldn’t be happier and would 100% recommend them!

Didn’t work on my house but did house across from me, started work at 0530 for two days! When I asked them not to they insisted it was ok as they were quiet.

Very good service amazing driveway and incredible team. John was very cooperative so was his team and in two days the driveway finished and clean and it was the perfect design we wanted.Definitely recommend Lynch contractors😊

From the outset, John was very persuasive and made numerous promises and commitments. The first issue arose when he brought the wrong colours for the driveway. When I pointed this out, he became aggressive, shouted, and behaved disrespectfully. Fortunately, I had already sent him the agreed colour scheme and design via WhatsApp, which clearly showed he was at fault.
When he later realised his mistake, he did not apologise either for bringing the wrong colours or for his behaviour. Instead, he attempted to justify his actions by claiming that, based on his experience, his preferred colour scheme would “look better,” despite this not being what we had agreed.
Whenever I raised concerns or pointed out discrepancies in his work, he dismissed them using technical jargon and hid behind supposed technicalities rather than addressing the issues directly.
We had agreed that full payment would be made after the kerb dropping was completed. However, he repeatedly insisted on being paid earlier than agreed and also requested that part of the payment be made in cash. I refused this, as we had clearly agreed from the beginning that payment would be made via bank transfer.
Ultimately, the work was not completed as agreed. When I followed up repeatedly over a period of two months, his response was once again disrespectful, and he told me to complete the work myself.

I deeply regret working with him and would not recommend his services based on my experience.

John was working on a neighbour’s driveway, so we took the opportunity to ask them about their experience before deciding to proceed ourselves. He was very prompt, started the work as soon as we signed the contract and completed it within the agreed timeframe.

We suggested a custom pattern outside of his brochure, which he accommodated without hesitation. The final result has been very well-finished, and we've received several compliments on it.

John also returned upon request to paint the steps to the house to match the driveway and even extended the work to part of our wall, as discussed.

Overall, we're pleased with the outcome. As with any project, it's a good idea to review the details and progress along the way — but we found John to be flexible and efficient.

John Lynch and crew to the rescue. Previously some months back I had another company come to do my driveway with gravel and added brick near my electric gates and it turned into a disaster of a job. Ruined my driveway however I saw Lynch paving signs while taking my kids to school and eventually asked them if they could sort out my drive. John came to view the drive and was shocked at the terrible state my drive was in. He gave me a price and his crew arrived to start work on Monday. It’s now finished and looks great. He had to take away a few ton of gravel and level the drive and lay a full metre length strip of paving at the gates and around my flower bed. Before John came to fix the drive we had a terrible time getting in and out of the drive as gates were getting stuck. Now gates are running smooth with no obstructions. Very hard workers and stayed working all day on both days. Thanks John and Tom the foreman for a great job.
