In my first month using complete savings, I've earned about £60 cashback - which is a decent return once the membership fee is deducted. But the actual process of claiming the cashback is frustrating.... See more

I’d give it zero but that’s not an option. I unknowingly “subscribed” to Complete Savings from a pop up window on Trainline. I’ve since found out that thousands of people were duped in the same way and Complete Savings were subsequently found to be in breach by Advertising Standards. We found out months later and have pursued our money back, some of which they have very reluctantly repaid, but we still have to pursue them through the Courts to get the rest of the money back.
Beware !
Several days ago, I contacted Complete Savings after discovering that £18 had been taken from my account each month since July 2023. I have never used the service or claimed any discounts or vouchers.
I cannot recall signing up for Complete Savings, and I did not knowingly or intentionally agree to a membership or recurring monthly payments. I was unaware that I had been enrolled or that £18 was being taken from my account each month. Had the membership and its ongoing cost been clearly brought to my attention, I would not have agreed to join. From my perspective, the sign-up process did not make this commitment clear, and joining- if any, was certainly not my intention.
Complete Savings says it sent emails about the membership. I did not see them in my main inbox and found them only after specifically searching in my Offers and Spam folders. From my perspective, the sign-up and ongoing cost were not made sufficiently clear.
I have now closed my account and cancelled the membership. Complete Savings offered a refund covering three months plus another three as a goodwill gesture. I declined and requested a full refund of all payments taken since July 2023. I consider the six-month offer inadequate, given that I was unaware of the membership and never used the service. I have reported the payments to my bank, whose fraud team is investigating. My request for a full refund remains unresolved.
This has been an extremely frustrating experience and has seriously undermined my trust in companies offering online services. I find it difficult to understand how monthly payments could continue for so many months when I never used the service or claimed any offers.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Complete Savings.
Anyone considering the service should carefully check for a recurring membership during checkout and keep a close eye on their bank statements.
I would also appreciate advice from anyone who has successfully resolved the case.
Regards, Rad

Highly misleading checkout process – Refusing to refund £573 of my money!
Do not trust this company. Complete Savings uses what I consider to be highly underhand tactics to enroll shoppers into expensive, recurring monthly subscriptions (£15–£18 a month) without their clear, informed consent.
I was caught out by a highly misleading "cashback" pop-up page immediately after making a legitimate online purchase with a retail partner. I did not knowingly or intentionally sign up for a paid monthly service, nor have I ever used it.
When I discovered the unauthorized charges, I contacted them to demand a full refund. They admitted the dispute was valid by issuing a few partial refunds, but they are flatly refusing to return the remaining £573 they have taken from my account. They have dragged this out over multiple emails and have now sent a "final response" to shut down my complaint.
In my opinion, this business model relies entirely on people not noticing hidden, recurring fees. I am escalating this to my bank for a full chargeback and reporting them to Citizens Advice and the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA). Avoid at all costs!

The cashback is a big bonus for pensioners like us although it does get a bit complicated sometimes when our transactions are not recorded on the website.

Tracking not the best. Constantly having to check purchases track. Although normally sorted takes a while calling support.

I've been a member for several years and have earned literally £000s in cashback. It's simple to use and the monthly subscription is easily offset by the cashback earned.
If you use the web to shop, don't hesitate to join. The range of online stores that earn is huge. Just remember to access via the CS website or your purchase won't track.
People who whine about the subscription format obviously don't understand how it works. Just read the small print and enjoy the benefits!

There have been a few instances where my purchases have not been tracked so I have had to email you. But it does get resolved. A bit annoying if I email you before 5 days of the transaction I get told I need to wait and email again rather than you check and follow up.
Would be good more category search. For example if I buy to purchase a e-sim, its not so obvious which retailers offer them.

It’s been an absolute nightmare dealing with this devious company. I unknowingly signed up to their services yet on checking my bank statement I noticed £18 paid out to CS I checked previous statements going back over 2yrs amounting to over £500 had been paid out to this company. Some may say how could I not notice these transactions over such a long time. Because I more or less know what comes out each month so, although I check my statements it’s not in great detail.
However, I cancelled my subscription and requested a full refund, with much quibbling I eventually was offered £216 less than half I paid. I refused this but they sent it anyway without my agreement. I never used any of their services so never gained any benefits. This has caused me a great deal of stress which I do t need at my time of life I’m 75yrs old so had I been younger maybe would have noticed these transactions a lot earlier. CS are a mis-leading immoral company whose practices have been condemned. ASA officially banned CS’s practices so why are they still operating in this manner using “subscription traps”to gain unsuspecting clients. Avoid this company at all costs, you have been WARNED!!!

I've saved about £4000+ in 5 years of using this website. Loads of merchants support it and I have a habbit now to first check on CompleteSavings before buying anything.

Account needs micromanaging to ensure that everything is ok and it is difficult sometimes to be sure if it is a human being or a bot that is dealing with a query because most replies are taken from a pre-written template whichever it is. The way that information is displayed on the account records is very confusing and sometimes completely irreconcilable. Answers given are sometimes not related to the question asked and instead are a pre-written response to a question that you didn't ask at all. Quite often you are advised ways to avoid the problem you are raising when you have already used exactly those suggestions before getting to the problem you are raising now.
