TERRIBLE DELIVERY METHODS USED

I ordered an item on 30th August. Amazon.fr promised to deliver it on the 1st September 2026. I specifically asked for it to be sent to me by the Post Office.
I live in a small village that has a Post Office which is located 100 metres from my house. Parcels sent to me by the Post Office arrived on time, every time.
Howerer, this parcel Tracking ID: 51005313273731440 was sent to me by Colis Prive. I have had very bad deliveries by Colis Prive, all from Amazon. In this instance, this parcel was delivered at 9 pm on the 4th September instead 1st September, as promised by Amazon. The parcel was left at night on the doorstep, I know this because I have a system that takes a photo every time someone rings the bell. Nobody rang the doorbell or called me on the mobile to tell me they were leaving the parcel outside the door, which is straight on the road. Had I not looked out until the morning, the parcel might have been gone.
I have written to Amazon a number of emails about Colis Privé; every time I order, I specify delivery by the Post Office.
BUT AMAZON DOES NOT LISTEN. BLAMING THE SYSTEM. THE SYSTEM IS WRITTEN BY HUMANS, SO WHY CAN IT NOT BE AMENDED?

I have left reviews for Colis Prive too. But they do not care, naturally, because they continue with bad service.

I ordered a printer and ink from…

I ordered a printer and ink from Amazon. Amazon recommended the ink as appropriate for the printer. I purchased from Amazon at the same time. Printer comes with starter pack. Installed new ink purchased from Amazon when starter ink finished, and it was not compatible. We called to return or exchange for appropriate ink for the printer, Amazon refused, said it was after the return window, no manager or any one would make an exception since the ink ran out after the return window. What? I should have thrown the ink out early to ensure the ink Amazon recommended worked? ??? Why would I assume otherwise. $107.00 I am out. for no reason. Amazon sucks, takes advantage of small business and the individual consumer. Never again. We are done with them. they aren't cheaper, they are not always faster, and I get better service with brick and mortar then their superior bullshit.

Appalling treatment by Amazon France

Customer service is appalling, I am disgusted in the treatment I have received from Amazon.

On August the 1st I received an email from Amazon explaining an order had not been paid for as the payment method could not be processed.

I immediately paid the outstanding amount on August the 1st and received an email on August the 2nd saying payment had been received.

I have since over a period of a month kept receiving demands to pay this payment.
I have contacted Amazon more than 20 times, by email and phone, sent a document from the bank to prove it has been paid and processed to Amazon.

I have spoken to a manger who said it was an error on Amazon’s part and it would definitely be dealt with.
24 hours later, I received a demand for the payment again.

My Amazon account is temporarily on hold, so I cannot use it.

I have now received an email from a debt collector on Amazons behalf requesting I pay for the item immediately.

I have bank proof for goodness sake to prove it was paid and I am still receiving demands continuously.

I can not believe how awful the treatment has been from Amazon, no one is looking in to the situation and now to be in the hands of a debt collector with a late charge added, when it was paid over a month ago is disgraceful.

I can not believe a company the size of Amazon have not one person who can look at the proof of payment and sort this properly

I am extremely stressed about the whole situation and am at a loss as to how to get through to Amazon.

SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!

Rubbish again

Rubbish again

They need to get their drivers to take a basic lesson in how to actually locate a front door.

You give feedback and they say it won't happen again, complete lip service to get rid of you. Expensive items left outside a back gate in full view and the they say left at front porch. I don't think the driver can read how worrying.

I suppose Amazon just don't care, too big to worry about customer service, like all these big companies just pure greed. Gone are they days when companies needed to make customers happy they just have such a monopoly that losing one customer means nothing.
I'll keep posting negative reviews as it makes me feel better.

Totally unreliable

Terrible experience on several occasions in France this Summer. Amazon France is totally unreliable… missed orders, unreliable delivery service… lots of excuses, most of them late. Basically one cannot count on the service.

Amazon simply is IGNORING all my requests to subscribe to the Amazon Prime STUDENT even after sending all the documents and scholar's email! It so ridiculous that Amazon don't only comply with its own rules and customer's norms - by putting on a service that is not real - that it tried to make a non authorized debit in my account of the FULL rate of the Prime. So, I had to block Amazon's attempts from my card! NOT RELIABLE to make deals with. RUN AWaY!

I don't want to hear about Amazon anymore.
It's a jungle out there, a chain of command. Amazon, the delivery platform, the delivery driver, the supplier—everything is designed to prevent you from claiming a refund if your package isn't delivered and is therefore returned to the person who placed the order.

In 2025 and 2026 alone, I had three orders with Amazon that went nowhere, two of them around €100 each. The products weren't delivered, the money was lost, and there's no way to recover even what I paid for, despite all the concrete evidence I sent to Amazon.

What a disgraceful, unprofessional company.

Expect damaged books

Amazon started off selling books, yeah? They have zero respect for them. You can spend any sort of money on a new book, from a standard novel to a niche work of philosophy, and they will more often than not (in my experience) package it insufficiently and it will arrive bent or creased or otherwise damaged. And why? Because they wish to save some dollars. But they'll package their greed in euphemistic rhetoric about wanting to preserve the environment. Mhm.

This company is getting worse

This company is getting worse. I have bought thousands of pounds of products from this site over the years and apart from the odd issue it was ok, not great but ok. However lately it’s absolute garbage. I have had items delivered by being thrown down behind the bins and then stated they were hand delivered to me. I have had items not turn up and all Amazon do is blame the seller. I have had items refused to be cancelled- even though they never showed up and lately is the final straw. A defective item was delivered- I asked for a refund. The box it was delivered in was ripped to bits and the parcel actually weighed in excess of 18kg. I told Amazon after eventually getting through to them just to be ignored and then the line of communication cut of by them. I wrote to there executive complaints team actually telling them they were in breach of the uk consumer law 2015 - I didn’t even get a reply. My days with Amazon are over - they are a disgrace and I will stick to my local high street and other shops and strongly suggest that people reading this so the same.

Amazon France keeps your money, manipulates the rules, then blocks escalation

I have now had two separate serious issues with Amazon France, and the pattern is deeply concerning.

Most recently, I returned two sets of rechargeable batteries using Amazon’s own authorised return process. Amazon confirmed on 24 July that they had received the goods and told me in writing that the refund would be processed within two weeks.

Two weeks later, no refund had arrived. Amazon still had both the returned goods and the €41.46 owed back to me. When I contacted support again, the story changed: I was now told to wait 30 days, with no meaningful explanation as to why my case suddenly qualified for this longer period.

That is bad enough, but the complaint process is worse. I explicitly asked Amazon to raise a formal complaint, provide a complaint reference number and escalate me to a supervisor. I was told there was no reference number, no live transfer to management was possible, and that a supervisor would supposedly contact me later. The adviser then ended the chat while my money was still being withheld.

This is not the first time I have experienced this with Amazon France. In a previous case, after being passed between 11 advisers and 12 handoffs, Amazon refused to provide a complaint reference number and gave me an email address for formal complaints which turned out to be not monitored.

That earlier matter was reported to SignalConso. I was later informed that Amazon had not even read the report despite repeated reminders, while French fraud-control investigators had received it.

The recurring pattern is what worries me most:

* unclear and changing information when money is involved;
* long periods where Amazon retains both the goods and the customer’s funds;
* no effective, traceable complaint process;
* no complaint reference number;
* no meaningful escalation;
* customer service agents who simply terminate the conversation when they cannot or will not resolve the issue.

I have now had to open a dispute with my payment provider to recover my own money.

Amazon used to be the retailer people trusted because problems were resolved quickly. My experience with Amazon France has been the opposite: opaque, obstructive and extremely difficult to challenge once something goes wrong.

I would think very carefully before relying on Amazon France for any transaction where a refund might later be needed.

Watch what you sign up to

Took out prime as it looked a good deal as you get music and tv / films . What they dont tell you is that unless you pay an additional 11.99 on top of your membership you end up stressed as you can't listen to an album in order or even that album .
