I have completed my practical training on Electrical NVQ Level 3 at Edenbridge. The trainer is quite an experience Tutor with a lot of expertise in Electrical and Electronic The training was educative and productive. It really added more technical skills to my knowledge. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you Charles.
Both Kay and Sarka have been awesome at answering my questions, and made the entire process so smooth!
Got my cv re adjusted by Cherise an it looks 10x more professional
I recently completed my NVQ Electrical Level 3 in Edenbridge and had a really positive experience with the practical training at Access Training Academy.
A special thank you to Charles for his excellent support, professionalism and patience throughout the training process. He explained everything clearly, shared valuable practical knowledge and made the whole experience comfortable, enjoyable and rewarding.
His friendly, supportive and encouraging approach really helped build my confidence, develop my practical skills and improve my understanding.
I would highly recommend Charles and Access Training Academy to anyone looking to develop their electrical skills and achieve their qualifications.
An excellent experience from start to finish. Thank you, Charles!
For electrical, they could up their game a bit, in terms of resources. But the tutor Mark was excellent and Cherise was helpful with career support.
I completed my Electrical NVQ Level 3 training and assessment at Edenbridge with Charles as my tutor. The experience was very enjoyable and Charles was very knowledgeable about electrics and helped us a lot with the practical training. I highly recommend.
Ellie Brazenell-Day was fantastic, really helped me get to the right course structure to fit around my lifestyle and commitments, she has answered all my queries and quelled any worries I have had, 10/10, give her a raise!
I completed my two weeks of practical training in Southampton with Mark Woodford, looking forward to my Level 3 Inspection and Testing exams, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Mark is an excellent tutor and assessor, providing solid training, clear guidance and plenty of support throughout. There was plenty of time to practice EIC and EICR inspection and testing, which really helped me develop a deeper understanding and confidence in the practical side of the work. Thanks to Mark’s knowledge, patience and guidance, I felt well prepared going into my assessments. A big thank you to Mark for a fantastic couple of weeks. Looking forward to moving on to my NVQ!
I completed my Electrical NVQ level 3 practical training and assessments at Edenbridge.
Dr Charles was a very informative tutor and great trainer. I learnt alot from the practical training. Would recommend
Please be careful if you choose Access Training, their website stated 36 months 0% finance option, they advised me this is no longer the case even though their website still advertised this, I was told there was only 1 place left on the course so I payed £250 to secure my place. I had an agreed payment plan emailed to me straight after stating 36 payments and 0%, I thought they had honoured their false advertising, 1 month on they took £704 via direct debit, this was for 12 months, no credit agreement was signed. I cannot comment on the training but initial thoughts, they false advertise and fall short from the FSA regulations which they will be reported to.
Don’t be fooled by the glowing reviews. My experience has been completely different. Before taking your money, the communication is constant, but once you’ve paid, you feel forgotten. When problems arise, rather than taking responsibility, you are simply fobbed off with excuses and apologies without any meaningful action. After spending £4,000, I feel completely let down. Since the departure of the key person behind the company, standards have noticeably declined in my experience. I genuinely regret enrolling and would strongly advise others to think twice before signing up.

My experience with ACCESS TRAINING has been extremely disappointing. Once they have taken your money, it feels like you are completely forgotten about. Calls go unanswered, emails are ignored, and nobody seems willing to get back to you or provide the support you have paid for.
I was entered into examinations that I did not feel properly prepared for, and rather than receiving the support and guidance needed to succeed, I was then expected to pay even more money for resits.
For a training company, I would expect far better communication, proper preparation and genuine support for students. Unfortunately, my experience has been the complete opposite.
It is incredibly frustrating to pay for a service and then feel as though you are being ignored when you need help the most. The lack of communication and support has left me extremely unhappy with the whole experience.
I would strongly advise anyone considering ACCESS TRAINING to think carefully before handing over their money. Based on my personal experience, I would not recommend them.

I had a great experience attending the practical training course with Charles Usigbe. The training was informative, engaging and, most importantly, practical. Charles demonstrated excellent knowledge of the subject and explained the concepts in a clear and easy-to-understand way.
I would highly recommend Charles Usigbe’s training to anyone looking to develop their knowledge, improve their practical skills and gain valuable hands-on experience.
Thank you, Charles, for a worthwhile and enriching learning experience!
I attended edenbridge for my nvq practical training and assessment. Once arrived I met with the trainer Charles Usigbe. The training given was very good and detailed from start to finish. The whole assessment went smoothly and very efficient. All instructions was very clear of all the topics and practical training given that I had to complete. Would recommend this centre for future students to do their training at edenbridge centre.
I have just completed my electrical NVQ practical training and assessment at Access Training in the Edenbridge branch, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.
A special thank you to my trainer, Dr Charles Usigbe, who was extremely helpful, professional and supportive throughout the practical training. He explained everything clearly, was patient when needed, and made sure I understood what I was doing rather than simply completing the tasks.
I also completed the science assessment and passed all of the required tasks, which has given me a lot more confidence moving forward in my career as an electrician.
The training and support I received have been extremely valuable for my future career, and I would definitely recommend Access Training and Charles to anyone looking to develop their skills and progress in the electrical industry.
Thank you to everyone at Access Training, Edenbridge, for all the help and support!
This apprenticeship is overly exaggerated of how good they provided their services. I took an electrical/ earn while you learn course which their advisor specifically told me that I am going to be fine over the phone informing me that I will be getting my moneys worth. This is not a great value for money as they overcharge in my opinion. However, the teaching to students was quite well done it is not worth a deposit of £500 which is not reasonable for this course as it only takes up two days of the week for the live webinars. I was also told to order a book from their site costing me £260 which was not delivered to me as soon as possible because I had to sent multiple emails for it to be delivered after nearly 3 weeks. After asking for a refund via email and over the phone, they decided to send the books over which is quite frustrating because it was needed when before you start the course to gain the upper hand of understanding the different regulations for electricians. The advisors kept on informing me that I would get calls back but did not decide to call back forcing me to step in and make calls to direct me to the right person but I still couldn’t get in contact with who I wanted to speak with saying “they aren’t available at the moment” for a week straight. The instructions were not fully understanding as they should’ve mentioned how they work in a brief paragraph but instead they decide to describe their work in unspecific words which instead they should have mentioned all the cons and pros from the very beginning before making payments.
Just submitted a query as interested in a career change towards the electrical field.
Someone calls me back within 10 minutes (it's Sunday so I appreciate someone is there but usual you'd hope they'll leave you alone until Monday). He starts to explain and ask actually quite interesting questions which I thought that shown how serious are about the course which I saw as a positive thing.
Then he asks me about what's I'm looking for in this course which I explain, finally I just want to know in terms of costs just to know how'd that fit with my budget at the moment.
It is at that point that he starts to completely ignore the question and talk about something else. He then ask me a question, as to what I'm looking to get out of this course which I explain a bit more and then I bring him back to the original question which he didn't reply (how much would the course cost?).
It is at that point that he gets very annoyed because I simply insisted for him to rely to my question as it's a critical factor for me at the moment and he goes "you know you shouldn't really care about that, we are talking about £100 or £200 a month, no big deal". He then out of no where goes "if you are worried about the cost maybe you are not really interested in this course".
After being told this I understand I'm dealing with someone very rude who didn't want to have to work on a Sunday and it's taking his frustration on me and I reply with "maybe you are right, thank you for your time and see you later". He goes "time waster" and hangs up.
Ie I don't get why
1. Someone can't just be interested and asking more information about the services you offer, and how does that upset you?
2. So rude, honestly man just change job. You felt very frustrated.

I am happy with the college, but what has made it so much better for me is the advice and conversations I have had with Rabia Arain she has made me feel better in my self so much.
Poor communication and an unresolved complaint — their emails explain my concerns
I began my electrical course with Access Training in November 2025 and have paid several thousand pounds towards it. My experience of trying to resolve concerns about examination preparation has been frustrating and disappointing.
Before my September 2026 examinations, I asked which amendment I would be examined on and was told the 4th Amendment. I had prepared using the brown BS 7671 book and the materials available on my learner portal. The reference-book list provided did not clearly specify the required editions or amendments.
I subsequently asked whether the original recorded webinars covered the 3rd or 4th Amendment. Access Training acknowledged that question. On 6 October, they confirmed that they had “removed the webinars from your portal” and “updated them to recent ones that have 4th amendment information.”
However, replacing the recordings after my examinations did not answer my question about what the original recordings covered or whether they were suitable preparation. Those questions remain unanswered.
I submitted a formal complaint on 7 October requesting cancellation and a full refund. During the correspondence, I received messages about changing my qualification route. Access Training has since confirmed that the initial transition email was automated and was not a response to my complaint.
In their latest reply, they apologised that “the information provided was not clear” and offered a free resit as a “gesture of goodwill.” I acknowledge that apology and offer, but my concerns are broader than another examination attempt.
Despite my written cancellation and refund request, their latest email asks me to confirm again whether I wish to cancel or continue. It does not provide a decision on my refund request.
As a self-employed customer who has arranged work, finances and study around this course, I feel I have had to repeat my position while important questions remain unresolved. I expected clear preparation guidance and a complaint response addressing the points I raised.
As of 31 October 2026, my complaint remains unresolved. I would welcome a clear, substantive response and will update this review to reflect any resolution.
Stuart was a really good teacher throughout my gas engineering practical training. He explained things clearly, was patient, and made sure everyone understood what they were doing rather than just showing us how to do it. He shared his knowledge and practical experience in a way that was easy to follow, and was always happy to answer questions(trust me i asked a lot and still do).I genuinely enjoyed learning from him and would definitely recommend him as a tutor.
