It's not a bad AI SEO platform after all. Results lacked only in consistency a little for me. But it's kind of overpriced - not the best price/quality ratio for my needs and budget.
Paid User for Years and I Regret it!
I have been a user for years. Over the past few months, Chatsonic, a core part of the program, has stopped working properly for my applications (that it used to handle just fine). You cannot depend on it to do anything these days. Writesonic support has done nothing but waste my time.
THEY WILL NOT RETURN ANY OF YOUR MONEY IF YOU PAY ANNUALLY AND WANT TO CANCEL.
At this point, my free Claude account produces as good or better copy than Writesonic, and Chatsonic is a complete time suck, a free ChatGPT account is way more reliable.
Amazing customer service and platform.
Amazing customer service and an overall very customer centric brand. Very fast turnarounds on requests and ideas. Very quick implementation if there's a bug. Such a friendly and fast team.
This platform is unmatched compared to all of the AI visibility platforms I've demoed or used. Excellent UI, great AI integration to help you actually get work done. But what sets them apart is their deep knowledge of SEO and Content Marketing, which informs all of the amazing out of the box data views you get without needing to export anything, custom build views, etc. You can hop into the platform and get insights FAST.
Tread carefully
Tread carefully, they will set up hidden charges, recurring fees and more without any communication or refunds. I assume their revenue comes from unsuspecting punters.
There are several free seo aeo tools out there. They pretend to be one but you will end up with several hundred dollars in fees without knowing. Do not trust.

Subscription cancelled, yet billed again with no support response
I have had a very problematic experience with WriteSonic regarding billing and customer support.
After subscribing to a plan that included features presented as “lifetime”, I cancelled the renewal directly through their website. Despite this, I was charged again the following year.
I contacted their support at that time to request a refund, especially regarding a charge of around €190, which was not clearly announced beforehand. This email was never answered. I eventually paid the amount and immediately cancelled my subscription via their platform to prevent any future renewal.
I have not used the service for over two years. However, recently, WriteSonic attempted to charge me again and then issued an invoice claiming an outstanding “due amount” after the payment failed.
Charging for a cancelled and unused service, while ignoring customer requests, is highly questionable. To this day, I have received no clear response from their support team.
I am sharing this review to warn other users to be extremely cautious with cancellation, billing practices, and customer support.
Fake promises and time waste
Promising a free trial on their website, which is nonexistent. I asked the salesperson to walk me through an interface and show me how it works for one of the brands I have proposed, but he kept showing me a pre-made analysis for Adobe, which is not my size or industry. Apparently, to try and find out if the product even works, I have to pay an enterprise subscription - even though both the landing page and the salesman's LinkedIn were advertising "try for Free". I have explained several times that I am only interested in their product if there's at least a small trial - so I can see if the product is valuable (BEFORE not after paying an Enterprise Tier subscription), and I have asked to finish the convo and not waste each other's time, but he keeps pitching me an AI visibility analysis of Adobe?
Wasted 30 minutes of my time, which is quite a lot - founders will understand time waste, very disappointing
Worst customer support ever
Worst customer support ever. There has been a bug and all my credits are gone for 1 article. They didn't refund my credits or added new. They claimed I generated 40 articles in 4 hours( not even sure how it's possible ). I was paying 99$ a month and they couldn't even help with the first issue I had.

Writesonic was a really cool tool when I used it about a year ago. It worked smoothly and offered great value back then. After some updates and recent pricing changes, I don’t enjoy it as much as before
Beware!!!
This review isn’t a reflection on the Writesonic product, or the support people as they are quick to respond and friendly, but it is a reflection on their business practice. I cancelled my subscription in 2023. In 2024 they took $200 from my account after I had cancelled. I emailed them and they did refund me but tried to tell me I didn’t cancel my account…. I had proof I had…. Anyway after the refund, I thought case closed. I have not logged into this product since as I don’t use it. Then today (2025) they attempted to take another payment of $200. I emailed to ask why they have attempted to take a payment when I cancelled my account and the same person I spoke to last year that refunded me because of my cancellation said their was no record of me cancelling my account. Thankfully I had the emails from last year that I sent them, but this is dodgy. I should not have to go in and cancel a product every year just to stop them attempting to take money from my account. I have asked for a full explanation as to why they have no record of my cancellation when I have email correspondence requesting this. Please be very careful if you try to cancel your account. I have not used this product for 3 years and I’m still dealing with it. To say I’m not happy is an understatement.

WriteSonic Review – AI Writing Made Simple, But Is It Worth It?
WriteSonic is an AI-powered content generation tool designed for businesses, marketers, and agencies. It offers a wide range of templates for blog posts, ad copy, and more, plus helpful integrations like WordPress and Zapier for easy publishing.
The platform is user-friendly and quick to learn. I was able to create a 7-page blog in minutes and appreciated the option to include my own keywords for SEO. The ability to export content in multiple formats (PDF, Doc, HTML) and publish directly to WordPress is a major plus.
However, WriteSonic has some downsides. Many advanced features, such as SEO optimization and content strategy tools, are locked behind expensive plans. The Lite plan includes only 40 credits per month, which drains quickly if you produce long-form content. At $39/month for basic use and $499/month for advanced features, the pricing feels steep compared to alternatives like ChatGPT or Claude.
Overall, WriteSonic is a solid choice for small businesses that want a simple AI writing tool with integrations. For agencies or heavy users, the cost and credit limitations make it less practical.
A+++
Ease of access and quite simple to get started and go, plenty of options to choose from, basically every type of written document you can think of is at your fingertips!
Writesonic saves me a lot of time
Writesonic saves me a lot of time. I've been using it since 2024, and I always get exactly what I need.
Disappointing experience of late
Truth be told, I'm not exactly having a good time anymore with Chatsonic. I'm paying more for chat sonic than ChatGPT but all the features are locked.
I was one of writesonics early clients and as technologies have improved, more features have been added, but writesonic has locked the new features from my plan. Compared to ChatGPT, writesonic is over priced and a lower quality product. I thought there would be some trade off if they offered products that chatgpt doesnt offer, but I cant say for certain cos those products are locked. Then I look at the pricing plan and more than double ChatGPT to access those products.
In a nutshell, writesonic has become uncompetitive, overpriced and underperforming.
Comparing apples with apples, the chat feature on Chatgpt's free version is better than chatsonics paid for version. I'm sorry to say that unless writesonic is prepared to offer more for less, they will probably be left behind in this space, in my opinion.

Overall Impression
Trustpilot is a valuable resource for consumers seeking insights into companies before making purchasing decisions. However, like any review platform, it is essential for users to read multiple reviews and consider the overall context rather than relying solely on individual comments.

Trustpilot remains one of the leading review platforms due to its extensive reach, focus on authenticity, and user-friendly interface. While it has its imperfections, its role in promoting transparency and accountability in the digital marketplace makes it a worthwhile tool for both consumers and businesses alike.
