Play on Rolly (Rolly) is a UK brand making premium rollable play mats for babies, toddlers, young children and their parents. Designed in Britain, made in China. We sell direct from playonrolly.co.uk and ship across the UK. The mat: 200 x 140 cm, 15 mm thick, double-sided with a different original design printed on each face. It rolls rather than folds, so it stores away without creases. The surface is water-resistant and wipes clean with a damp cloth, and the cushioned foam core softens the floor underneath. Suitable from birth, and used long past that for floor play, home yoga and outdoor picnics. Price is £170 (preorder). What it is made of: a TPU surface (thermoplastic polyurethane) over a cushioned polyurethane foam core. TPU is not PVC, the plastic used in most play mats on the market, and unlike PVC it does not need plasticisers to stay soft. The surface your child touches is free from PVC, BPA, phthalates, PFAS, lead and heavy metals. Every mat is tested to EN71 toy safety standards: EN71-1 for mechanical safety, EN71-2 for flammability and EN71-3 for chemical migration, with the printing inks included in the EN71-3 testing. UK REACH compliant. CE and UKCA marked. Safe from birth. What makes Rolly different is the artwork. Each design is an original illustration by an independent artist, colourful and full of character, and unlike anything else in the play mat market. The kind of mat a design-conscious parent leaves out in the living room, not only the nursery. We are a small independent business selling direct, with no middlemen and no resellers. If you email us, you are speaking to the people who made the mat. Premium quality. Materials we can explain. Art you will actually enjoy looking at. That's Rolly.

Beautiful and practical

We’ve been using this playmat every day, and it’s become one of the most-used things in our home. It’s incredibly soft and comfortable, so our whole family ends up spending time on it. Our 5-month-old loves tummy time and rolling around on it, while our 2-year-old is constantly playing, reading, or cuddling there. Even we, as parents, find ourselves sitting and lying on it throughout the day.

The design is absolutely beautiful as well, it looks lovely in our living room and blends in perfectly with the rest of our home. It’s practical, comfortable, and stylish all at once. We couldn’t be happier with it!

It's like a piece of art that lives on your floor.

There were quite a few things that I considered when purchasing a play mat.

1 - Quality/Durability - I wanted something that was going to last from newborn to toddler days and beyond. Rolly's quality is unmatched, and I'm confident it will be a permanent fixture in our living room/playroom until my children are much older.

2 - Thickness/Texture - I was looking for a mat that could withstand bumps, little people toppling over, and jumping around. Rolly is really thick/padded, whilst still keeping a sleek design. My daughter can seat drop on this (trampoline style), and comes up smiling.

3 - Non-toxic material - we try hard in our home to reduce the toxins we are exposed to, and this includes surfaces our children play on. I am really happy with the low tox status of the Rolly mat.

4 - Design/ethics/sustainability - I LOVE a small business who prioritise real people, not mass-production or AI 'art work'. The designs are absolutely stunning, even more so in person. It was hard to choose a favourite. I especially love that they are reversible and non-gendered. Plus real artwork = a dream of a play mat! It's like a piece of art that lives on your floor.

I honestly think that the Rolly mat is 100% worth every penny. You pay for quality, and that's exactly what Rolly is. They do not compromise on quality, sustainability and supporting real artists, so it gets 5 stars in my eyes.

A beautiful mat!

A beautiful mat!! Suitable from babies through to older children, with beautiful designs. I would highly recommend Rolly over any other play mat brand. Not forgetting how comfortable and soft the mat is too!
