Best Tour Sri Lanka
Myself and my husband visited Sri Lanka whilst traveling around South East Asia with a vague hope we could watch some cricket and see some of the country in the few weeks we had given ourselves. We struck gold in Uma and Affan. We stayed in the fort in Galle for a week to start with, the food and hospitality we experienced in those first few days convinced us we needed them in our lives a little longer! Uma organized a tour of the south, moving into the mountains and finishing in Kandy in time to watch even more cricket. Despite a planned few days in Colombo we changed the itinerary and spent our last week back with Uma in her beautiful guest house in Galle, soaking up the sun and sand on the stunning south coast beaches. Uma worked magic with our small travelling budget, we felt like royalty. Highlights? So hard to choose but releasing baby turtles to the sea, tea at the plantation, the dancing in Kandy and feeding the elephants were particularly memorable. However just as with many things in life, spending quality time with fantastic people, sharing their warmth and hospitality and gaining a life long appreciation of a country is where many memories were made. If you want to see the real country and meet real people, this is the route to take. Thank you Uma and Affan for the lifelong memories, you'll never appreciate how much you meant to us ❤️ xxx
