As a daily pie consumer, I know my pies and this is is far from good. It tastes like a mix of rotten beef and dirt water. Stay away from the pie at all costs

Really poor customer service. Subcription emails weren't sent properly and couldn't edit the order. Clean Eats Australia took full accountability and provided a full refund where as Muscle Chef was so rigid. 0 customer satisfaction.

customer service non existent order came at 1730
Ordered on sunday 4th waited all week for my delivery on the 10th, was,supposed to receive a twxt night before with delivery window. Did not. Contacted support via email.. thsy told me to call .. i called and called and no answer which told me to go to live chat.. after the ai transferred me no response. Ruined my whole plans ans momentum starting a diet. Had to go down and buy and cook from the shops.
EDIT. So the order came at 1732.
After I went and shopped and spent hundreds on my bulk meal prep. And was nearly finished preparing when the camera detected movement at my door. No knock, just left the box . Was all defrosted and cardboard soggy.. so im still leaving it 1 star as now I have all this food and just wasted money I dont havd to spare..

Appalling customer service
If my disabled dad didn’t love the meals so much, I would never order with them again. Every time I’ve had to contact them to help with something minor like getting my order in a bigger box so I can send more things to my dad who lives in a rural country town, they are “unable” to accomodate. They are notoriously difficult to contact. They never answer emails or phone calls, and they don’t provide notes for drivers??? Why?! Absolutely pathetic customer service.

My meal was marked as delivered to my…
My meal was marked as delivered to my address, but the delivery driver did not leave the box at the building entry or the usual delivery location. Instead, it appears to have been left somewhere else entirely. The photos provided as proof of delivery were so unclear that I could not even identify where the box had been left.
What I find particularly amazing is MMC’s position that, because the parcel was technically delivered to the correct address, they are not taking any liability. That policy makes little sense to me. If a driver can leave a box anywhere on or around a property and the company can simply say “it was delivered to the correct address,” what protection does the customer actually have?
I contacted customer service expecting them to investigate or take some responsibility, but instead I was essentially told that it was not their problem. For a meal delivery service, where the contents are perishable and customers are paying for delivery to a specific location, I find this unacceptable.
I cancelled my subscription. There are plenty of meal delivery services out there, and I would recommend considering alternatives where the company actually stands behind its deliveries.
Very poor customer service and an extremely disappointing approach to delivery issues.

Melted Food Dumped on the Street!
After my last order arrived half-missing, customer service promised it wouldn't happen again. Today, while I was sitting at home, the driver dumped an open, ruined box on the pavement outside my building. The ice bags had clearly been melted for hours—everything was completely soggy and dripping water everywhere.
Yet the driver still decided to deliver food in that disgusting condition and had the audacity to take a photo of the wrecked box as "proof of delivery." Unacceptable service and a total health hazard. If you don't know how to package and deliver food properly, you shouldn't be in this business.

1 star. Ordered ten meals. Binned every single one.
I wanted to believe the hype. I did not get it. What arrived looked nothing like the photos and tasted like it had been microwaved twice before it even reached me. Sauce everywhere, meat nowhere. Portions so small they felt like a garnish, not a meal.
The texture alone was enough to end it. Mushy, watery, grey where it should have been golden. I tried three different meals thinking maybe I got a bad batch. Same result every time.
For the price point this should be restaurant quality. It is not even close. I would rather eat cardboard with seasoning on it.
Save your money. Cook your own chicken and rice, it will taste better and cost half as much.
Zero stars if I could.

New meal range landed in the bin
Generally I am a big believer of Muscle Chef, with consistent quantity and quality, overall tasty and nutritious meals. The last three times when I tried the new product range, I was extremely disappointed. I think the person who designed these meals never actually tasted them. This quinoa pesto chicken and the pot pie landed in the rubbish bin. Bad choices of taste mix, texture, overall delivery. I don't think I will every try again.

tried to call but it cuts you off after 10minutes of hold each time. On my 4th attempt now
have had live chat open for 40minutes just to see if it replies sooner.
pretty annoyed, if it is delayed or not coming there should be a notification or something.

I wanted to share some feedback regarding the menu. I was genuinely shocked to see that out of around 75 different meals, only 1 includes pork.
To be honest, that feels quite ridiculous and extremely limited compared to the variety offered for other meats.

Well I didn't even get to meal one. Rang them and left a message, 5 hours later no one had called. Went to the website and spoke to the 'Chat' icon, was as useless as two men short. First thing it did was ignore my question and give me payment options! I then rang again and got the same automated response so gave up. Instead of bragging about you Canstar award on your recording, how about picking up the phone to cutomers?

Taste good. Horrible packaging sustainability.
Out of all the frozen meals delivery, I would say muscle chef is definitely one of the better tasting ones but it is also one of the pricier ones so keep that in mind.
The app can use a bit of work - it can be pretty messy to navigate. Most of the menu are either chicken or beef. I usually just go with the bundles to save some dollars and time, but because I can't eat beef, I have to reselect everything again on my own. Wish the app will give me the option of excluding beef to make my life easier when selecting meals.
Can use more pork options. Their pulled pork is surprisingly really good.
Lastly, my major gripe with muscle chef is the packaging. It is very much NOT sustainable despite whatever the website says. After the RedCycle plastics collapse, soft plastics can only go in general bin but muscle chef most of their packaging are from soft plastics especially the gigantic aluminium foil insulated bag. It is so unnecessary as there are already ice packs inside. Major waste every week. I hope muscle chef can revise their packaging and stop making use of large plastics. Youfoodz doesn't use it and their food stay nice and cold. Lite n easy probably the best when it comes to sustainability as they recollect their boxes and packaging every time they deliver. Wish muscle chef can do something like that.

Very disappointed by the lack of care
Very disappointed by the lack of care, delivery and customer service by MyMuscleChef. Yes, the product works however my partner has now had 2 deliveries in three 2 weeks that have been complete and utter messes.
For context we have both used MyMuscleChef at 2 different locations so they have knowledge of where we are and hae the photo evidence to prove it.
First delivery, 3 weeks ago...it didn't even leave the loading bay. It got left there. Solution offered was oh we can resend that box out - unacceptable as no way to determine food safety or quality at that point. Would have been on the dock for 24 hours. So their remediation was they would give 3 weeks free with Guarantees there would be no issues.
So we got 2 deliveries fine then this week. Meant to be delivered Saturday - no communication or notification. Home all day - didn't arrive. Contacted them on Sunday - it was delivered to a completely wrong address and group of units (single vs double story). They sent photos and asked us to prove it was wrong. After sending photos and getting them to reconfirm previous photos and successful deliveries they agreed wrong address. Option was a another free delivery (not worth the risk now, right) or a refund.
So, yes, muscle chef meals are good BUT there is no guarantee you will ever see the food so my advice, just go to the shops if you dont want to have to spend extra money and actually eat for the week.

The best tasting ready-made meals
The best tasting ready-made meals, with a huge range. They also have protein bars, cookies, muffins, and other items. Ordering online is a simple process, and setting up a subscription means you don't need to do anything, unless you want to swap items. I've subscribed for several years now. One time there was a problem with my order, which was quickly resolved within an hour.

I’ve tried a lot of meal prep services over the years, & My Muscle Chef is hands down one of the best.
The quality is consistently excellent — real ingredients, proper portion sizes, and meals that actually taste like food (not bland “diet” trays). The protein content is solid, the macros are clearly labelled, and the variety makes it easy to stay on track without getting bored.

Well, second time unlucky
Well, first I tried the Massaman last week and it was awful mush. I thought I'd give it a second chance tonight with the Thai red curry.....mush. Both times I had difficulty actually finding meat. Both were very disappointing. Won't be buying it again.
