This is a user friendly company
This is a user friendly company, who do their best to provide what they contract for, and indeed add value by spending time explaining and setting up the solar system to deliver an optimised outcome.
There were national problems with battery supply on this occasion and the customer support was good.
However, there were two things that could have been handled better in my opinion, firstly the delivery had to be arranged before the install, and required the customer to be at home for half a day, but the delivery company did not arrive and there was no notification about the problem during the allotted half day. This could and should be remedied with a system that forces the delivery company to provide updates. The instal was the next working day and delivery was rearranged so that the equipment was delivered in time for the installation. The second issue is merely a niggle, a standard letter is sent out before the installation suggesting that it contains important information about the installation, but in fact is a thinly veiled message about paying on time or no completion paperwork will be issued, I believe that such emails should only be sent after a customer has failed to pay. So just a little issue but put yourselves in the customer’s shoes guys it just sends the wrong message.

They provide an excellent one to one advice service that is very thorough. Leonie took the time to understand my situation and the various considerations that would affect making a decision on installing solar panels. She provided clear and detailed options and costings. Solar panels fitted, no stress.
I decided to have solar panels fitted and MakeMyHouseGreen had been recommended by my local council. Once I had made contact the process was explained and the pricing and the options were clearly outlined. Face to face meetings and the survey were done via Zoom and contact with Rosie, who coordinated everything was via Whatsapp. Owen did the virtual survey and the installation. The work was done efficiently and extremely tidily. I have been very happy with the service and efficiency of this company.

MMHG WERE THE ONLY ONES PREPARED TO GO THE DISTANCE
We were after an installer for our 11th floor apartment. Most companies didn't bother even replying and those that did advised they couldn't do it.
MMHG made the effort - first contact to installation sign off was about 10-months. Planning work was time consuming but, importantly, thorough - it had to be due to structural consideration, wind, snow load etc.. Administration after planning was automated for some key stages but wasn't suited to the timetable we were working to. This was mildly annoying but not significant. Similarly, a few people were involved in managing the installation process and a few crossed wires occurred but, again, nothing significant.
The installation would have been flawless if the local scaffolders hadn't let us down. Nevertheless, the team of 5-installers were very professional, friendly and managed the on-site installation extremely well.
Electrical and fire safety issues, very important in an apartment building, were understood, planned and managed extremely well. Similarly our flat roof waterproof membrane meant that standard fixings couldn't be used for the solar panels so the system provided was specifically designed and installed to avoid this. The extra weight this necessitated (slabs to hold the panels down) was carefully calculated to ensure the structure of the apartment was not compromised. Working practices on the roof were designed such that heavy loads were spread out before being used.
Sign off, the important documentation necessary to obtain payment for exporting to the grid, was a little longer than necessary due to a misunderstanding on the final bill payment (which wasn't presented until I asked what was happening several times).
Therefore, there were hiccups along the way (not unusual in any project) but the customer service support was responsive and open to dealing with our concerns / issues at all time.
As above, the installation, arguably the most important part as it provides the panels and battery etc. was almost flawless.
Hence, all in all a 5 star service.
