Car wasn’t ready on time. Given an alternative that wasn’t the same specification.

All was great including rental cost and car condition
My only comment refers to the price of the full insurance which I believe was expensive, more than 50% of the car rental cost

The car was easy to collect and all personnel were pleasant to deal with. We returned the car in exactly the same condition so I am unsure how the company would rate if there had been any damage to the car especially as we were flying out before their offices were open. Our experience was easy and pleasant.

Very disappointing experience – no car, no refund, no goodwill

I had a very disappointing experience with Locauto during what was supposed to be a family holiday.

I made the mistake of forgetting the physical copy of my driving licence. However, I had a photo/copy of my licence available, along with my passport and a debit/credit card in my own name. Despite this, Locauto refused to release the vehicle to me.

I accept that there may be rules requiring the physical driving licence, and I take responsibility for forgetting it. What I find extremely disappointing is that Locauto then refused to offer any refund or goodwill gesture whatsoever, despite the fact that the vehicle was never handed over to us and therefore there was no use, mileage, wear and tear or financial risk to Locauto from the rental.

The situation was particularly stressful because we were travelling as a family with a child. Having a rental car suddenly unavailable caused significant disruption to our holiday, and we were left feeling that there was absolutely no consideration for the circumstances.

What makes this even more frustrating is the complete lack of flexibility or customer service afterwards. A company that values its customers should, in my opinion, be willing to consider a reasonable goodwill gesture where a genuine mistake has resulted in a rental not taking place — particularly when the vehicle itself was never provided.

Overall, I found the experience extremely unsatisfactory. The combination of strict enforcement, no vehicle being provided, and absolutely no willingness to offer even a partial refund or goodwill gesture has left a very poor impression of Locauto.

Very disappointing customer service. I would think carefully before booking with Locauto.

I chose this rental agency thinking I wouldn't have any problems and that the process would be quick. That wasn't the case. The rental car had an engine failure, there was no remote assistance, and it took an hour to get another vehicle. Disappointing, given how many people in staff were at the agency.

Good communication and courteous staff . Would use again . Excellent service

Quick, no fuss and easy car return to another location

Everything with the car, check in and check out was good.

The only problem I had was during registration and account creation. My reservation was duplicated, which turned out to be no problem. I still can't access the mobile app, but I can log in to the web version. The smart check-in that you advertise doesn't work at all, and I was never able to do it.

We have used Locauto at Pisa airport for several years. There is rarely more than one person in the queue at the rental desk, so quick to collect car and be on our way. There is no pressure to buy additional insurance cover or any extras.All the staff are very pleasant, efficient and speak good English. The cars are clean and in good condition.
