Beautiful cabin in a perfect location
Beautiful cabin in a fantastic location. The cabin has everything you need and the owners go out of the way to make sure you have a fab stay. So many places within such a short distance too. Highly recommended

I recently stayed at Lily Tarn - a beautiful lodge on Whitecross Bay. The lodge was lovely and clean, and has a very fresh and open feel. The outside decking is very spacious and was a great place to relax in the sun. And the addition of the hot tub to keep dipping in and out of made it even better.
Even though there are a large number of lodges and caravans on the park, we did not feel overlooked and it was certainly very peaceful. It was lovely to walk down to the edge of the lake, and we even managed to have a drink in the bar - which was really nice as the lockdown restrictions begin to be lifted a little.
Overall this was a fantastic place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our break.
In the past we have stayed at Langdale View (also rented via Oakleigh) and this also has its own wonderful character. In comparison I would say if you want the luxury of a hot tub and a lodge that is closer to the main reception and amenities, then you can't go wrong with Lily Tarn. On the other hand, if you are looking for a lodge that feels remote and idyllically peaceful, then Langdale View is perfect. A traditional wooden lodge with a cozy feel right in the trees.
Both these properties are on the same park and we would be happy to stay at either one of them again. We really enjoy the park itself and what it has to offer, and look forward to our next holiday!
Great week Mond-Frid spent in the Langdale View accommodation. We all enjoyed our stay and the lodge is situated in a peaceful area of the park. Enjoyed many nights reading quietly on the Verandah and enjoying the view, feels like you're sat on top of the trees!🙂The lodge is comfortable & cosy and impressed with how spacious the bedrooms are and glad to see full sized single beds. As the lodge backs on to the woods we were told we may see some wildlife but didn't think we would be lucky enough until I spotted an adult Deer grazing on the grass across from the lodge and managed to get a picture to prove it, just before it sauntered back into the woods.
We also ate at the restaurant on site and the food was delicious. The new procedures were easily explained due to 'Social distancing' and take-away from the restaurant can also be ordered for pick up with menus provided.
Overall a very enjoyable experience and will be booking again in the near future.
