We were very satisfied with our wireless LAN box from Japan Wireless. Airport pickup was flawless, and returning the device by mail was incredibly easy and hassle-free. The internet speed was great, and it made navigating around Japan very convenient.
The only minor downside was that we experienced a few very brief dropouts where we temporarily lost our connection. Because of these small interruptions, I am deducting one star.
Overall, it is a fantastic, reliable service and highly recommended for anyone traveling to Japan!

Great service that can be trusted to provide a reliable, effective solution for connection to mobile Internet at a reasonable and competitive price. Used now two times on separate holidays in Japan- easy pick up at airports and drop off in postal service box on exit.

We used Japan Wireless Pocket WiFI (unlimited data) for our first trip in Japan (15 days).
Internet connection was great and fast everywhere we went in Japan, from Tokyo, Kanazawa, Osaka to Hiroshima. The connection sometimes dropped only in the subway, which is completely normal.
The pickup and return process was easy at Osaka Kansai Airport.
We would only like the price to be a little lower, especially if you don't have a coupon code.
The included power bank we used more to charge our phones, and only a few times for the router itself.
We will rent it again and would recommend Japan Wireless to anyone traveling in Japan!!

Japan Wireless was recommended to me by a friend. Ordering one for my trip was quick and easy. I had it delivered to my hotel on the first day we arrived. Set up for the device was extremely easy. Drop off was also very easy. Though the AC adapter was not working, I only emailed to let them know, but I'm not taking any stars off for it. You can't travel without your own plug/AC adapter anyways so I didn't need the one they provided. They also provided a portable battery which was also very usueful.

Worked very well. If taking a cruise this is so much cheaper than the ridicules price the cruise companies charge. Even well out of port signal was picked up. Unit was waiting for me when booking into hotel prior to cruise. Easy set up. When finished put the unit in return postage bag. All done. Would recommend 100%

Easy to order the pocket wifi, pick it up at Narita airport, and return it via envelope, all at a great price. If my phone supported an eSim, I would have gotten that, but because my phone is older, the pocket Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Always reliable and great signal.

Struggled a lot with their wifi router device during the last 2 weeks in Japan.
- Very slow.
- Keep disconnecting from the network.
- Not good coverage at all.
- getting hot quickly.
- Battery drainage very quickly and I had to recharge it again.

It’s not recommended at all.
My advice to get an eSIM on your phone much easier.

First trip to Japan and luckily we got recommened Japan Wireless! It worked as it should, fast and reliable. The battery was very good as well. if it was full before leaving at the morning it still had charge left when returning. The powerbank was a nice back up. Only place where there was no connection was at Fushimi Inari-taisha after hiking on top of it. So i would assume if you were planning to go hiking into the mountains take it to consideration it might not work. Nevertheless 10/10.

I recently use Japan wireless for my trip to Japan and I have to say that this service is worth the price. The product worked well and it was very easy to connect to the wifi to my phone. Furthermore, I loved the fact that there was no data cap and there was a power bank provided to charge the router when the power got low. In conclusion, I would recommend Japan Wireless to anyone who needs reliable wifi without worrying about the data cap. The service is a 10/10

We are using Japan wireless (four person), for two weeks in our trip to Japan. We have fast and reliable internet almost everywhere. Strongly recommend.

I’ve used Japan Wireless twice now for both trips to Japan and never had a single issue. Coverage is fantastic and speeds are great with 6 devices attached.

We found out the day of arrival that our flight into Haneda was going to be delayed and the collection point would be closed. I contacted Japan Wireless and within 20 minutes they had shipped a new wireless card to our hotel ready for collection. Unbelievable service!!!!!!

Lost coverage too many times, and speeds were extremely slow. I was without coverage many time throughout each day. Device quit working completely at one point and displayed a message that I had exceeded the data limit in my plan (despite the fact that I prepaid for unlimited coverage). I contacted customer service and was told to reset the device, and that if it didn't work they would send me a replacement device in two days. That ws unacceptable, as I needed to be connected to the internet at all times.

Easy to order and use while in Japan. I like having a pocket WiFi for multiple devices while traveling and this worked great for a long trip. Returning with the provided shipping envelope was easy as well at the Haneda Terminal 3 Departures post office box.

I received the Japan Wireless 4G package as expected, and the hotel receptionist handed it over to me upon arrival. The signal was great throughout Tokyo and it was very useful for navigating, browsing, and staying connected during my trip. The only downside was that it struggled to handle video meetings for my work, but for regular travel use, it worked really well.

The battery life was also impressive, lasting around 4 hours before needing a recharge. A power bank was included as well, which was very helpful when I needed extra battery. Returning the device was easy too, with plenty of post office boxes available where I could simply drop it off.

Overall, I found it very convenient and would recommend it for travelers who need reliable internet while exploring Tokyo.

This is the fourth time I've vacationed in Japan and used a Pocket WiFi. It's very convenient and easy to use.
This year, JapanWireless delivered the Pocket WiFi to my first hotel (instead of having me pick it up at the airport, where I was arriving late). Everything went smoothly; the Pocket WiFi was there waiting for me when I arrived.

this is my third time renting the Japan wireless pocket wifi. I have been using this pocket wifi on every trip to Japan. Connection is reliable; pickup/drop-off is very easy. Highly recommend.
