Whilst we appreciate you are disappointed with the outcome of your recent claim. Based on the documents provided it was not possible to successfully validate your claim and raised questions around the condition of the device prior to inception, which was only 9 days prior to the reported incident.
All claims are assessed fairly alongside the terms and conditions of your policy. Additional information was requested due to the proximity of claim date to inception date and the evidence provided had been altered.

We have reviewed your case and can confirm that your claim was declined because you did not meet the eligibility requirements of the policy. This requirement is clearly outlined within the policy terms and conditions and forms part of the application process when purchasing cover.
Our claims team has a responsibility to validate all claims against the policy terms and eligibility criteria. Following their assessment, it was determined that the requirements for cover had not been met and, as a result, the claim could not be approved.
We would also note that your complaint was referred to the Financial Ombudsman Service, who completed an independent review of the matter in February 2026 and concluded that they would not uphold your complaint, with no further action required on our part.
In relation to your comments regarding reviews being deleted, we would like to clarify that businesses are unable to remove genuine customer reviews from Trustpilot. Trustpilot operates independently and reviews can only be removed where they breach Trustpilot's guidelines or policies.
While we understand this is not the outcome you were hoping for, the decision regarding your claim was made in line with the policy terms and was independently reviewed by the Financial Ombudsman Service.
