Great conversation with native speakers !
During my last extended stay in Japan, I contacted HH JapaNeeds to find teachers or volunteers with whom I could practice my Japanese. I must say I was impressed by the seriousness and quality of this language school. I answered quite a number of questions and even had a phone interview to assess my level.
The two people I met several times to practice Japanese with were highly motivated volunteers. It gave me the opportunity to discuss many different topics, learn a great deal about life in Japan, and at the same time improve my Japanese skills.
The preparation, follow-up, and administrative organization were always excellent, and a genuine effort is made to match students with the most suitable teachers or volunteers.

Honestly, it’s a pretty solid starting point if you’re new. It covers basics like Hiragana, grammar, and simple sentence building in a way that’s easy to follow. The daily lesson format helped me stay consistent without feeling overwhelmed.
That said, it’s not perfect — some lessons feel a bit repetitive, and you’ll definitely need extra practice (like speaking or listening) outside the course if you want real fluency.
Overall, for a free course, it’s worth it 👍 Good for beginners, but don’t rely on it alone.

A Class That Made Me Want to Continue
The one-on-one Japanese trial class was a great experience. The teacher was very patient and supportive, and she encouraged me to speak in Japanese from the start. I felt comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. The class was motivating and made me want to continue learning.

Great quality for a good price
Fast response time from the company, personalized touch and they do exactly what they advertise. I found a great tutor very quickly, and in two months, my japanese improved drastically. Planning to keep going for at least a year. Would recommend to anyone. Great customer service and transparant paying system.

A great way to learn the basics of Japanese Language
I just started to learn japanese and was worried about the grammar, counting, honorifics and other rules. During my search I found HH JapaNeeds and found out about this free e-mail course! Even if I am a beginner, I found it easy to follow each chapters . One thing to highlight is that the chapters not only focus on the language, but also on the culture, tourist spots and other relevant information about Japan, a Japanese language learner should know. I personally loved the small fun stories attached to each chapters which kept me motivated each day. Those little stories are the cherry on top. Even if all the chapters don't teach advanced lessons, you can understand the main parts- the foundation of the language. Definitely recommend HH JapaNeeds. 👍
