Unfortunately, our experience with Helping Hands Homecare was extremely disappointing.
During the short time they provided care for our mum, we experienced several concerns, including:
Missed medication, which is completely unacceptable.
Failure to follow simple instructions, such as leaving the lights on so Mum wasn't left in the dark and vulnerable to falling.
Not staying for the full 30-minute allocated visits.
Emails and verbal messages not being passed on, resulting in important information being missed.
Staff regularly arriving late for Mum's visits.
When you are trusting a care company with a vulnerable family member, you expect reliability, communication and basic standards of care. Unfortunately, these expectations were not met.
After only a handful of visits, we made the decision to terminate the contract.
We should never have had to repeatedly worry about whether basic care instructions were being followed or whether Mum was receiving the care she was supposed to.

Excellent customer service
I have spoken to the same lady called Carol several times in the last week. Carol is a credit to not only the company but humanity. Kind, compassionate and knowledgeable I can't comment on the service they provide yet but having such an excellent experience on the phone has given me reasurance that I picked the right company to contact.

Moms carer is the most helpfull and trustworthy person we have ever met. Always ready to help with everything, always got a smile on her face. I don`t know how we would cope without her.

I needn't have worried though as everyone i spoke to at helping hands was absolutely wonderful and made the whole process so much easier. What a fantastic service and lovely staff. It is so refreshing to speak to people who know what you need and how help you get the help without having to jump through hoops. Fantastic, highly recommend.

Very satisfied
I am very happy with the care given to my husband. The carers all communicate well with Tony and myself and feedback to each other, which means his care is seamless. It makes our day to day life good and allows me to cope with the housekeeping and gardening etc.
