We recently had Hades Bollards install a bollard on our driveway, and we’re very pleased with the service. Nick, the manager, was friendly, professional, and made sure everything was handled smoothly from start to finish. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and completed the installation to a high standard. The bollard works perfectly, and the whole process was straightforward and hassle-free. I had a single automatic bollard installed,and the experience has been very poor.Upon installation everything worked fine, a little tempremental, After two months the sensor stopped working and then the bollard.After several phone calls I was told that my driveway needed an additional waterpump at a cost of £800 plus vat, I refused this as I thought the installation had not been carried out correct with sufficient soakaway.When the engineer returned to replaced the led strip, I notice that the electrical wiring inside the bollard had been connected using insulating tape rather than IP rated waterproof connectors. Today the bollard has stopped working for a third time. The company are evasive and quick to wash their hands of any reponsibility suggesting that the problem is with the water drainage, I think this is a balanced review and reflects my personal experience, The whole thing has been a wast of £3500 and it is still under a year since installation, I would consider other options

If you have a car you really value, whether that is because of the price or just what it means to you, getting bollards installed is a sensible move, not over the top.

Car theft these days, especially keyless theft, is mostly opportunistic. They are not usually targeting you personally, they are just looking for the easiest option. If your driveway is open, there is very little stopping them. But the moment you put a bollard in place, it changes things. It is a clear, physical barrier that makes them think twice. At that point, they either walk away or take a bigger risk trying to get past it, which most of them will not bother with.

I live in a gated house and thieves have still tried multiple times to steal my cars. That alone shows that gates are not always enough. A bollard adds that extra layer of protection right where it matters, directly in front of the vehicle.

We bought a bollard off this firm recently, it arrived 2 weeks late and then damaged and has taken them 6 months to send some of the missing elements, with no installation guide and to top it all off the owner is the rudest most unprofessional supplier I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with in all of my years in the building industry. We would strongly advise anyone from using them again.

I’ve had two installed now for around three weeks and all is really good.

The guys installing the bollards deserve a 5* reviews. They are young hardworking guys and very committed. They finished the installation at 7.30 pm under mobile lights.

I was a little unsure due to low number of reviews that this was legit and a significant deposit is required, which made me nervous.

Everything I was told was correct, and followed through, however I think a little more communication would’ve helped.

I had the bollards with sensors fitted. The sensors stop the bollards from raising if something is above them and not sensing that a vehicle with app or key fob is approaching.

In summary definitely would use again a little more communication would be great.
