Avoid using home number at all costs
Avoid using HomeGnome at all costs. It’s a third-party hands-off intermediary that doesn’t care about their customers or service providers. We had the most horrible experience.We tried home gnome to get our lawn mowed. We needed it done in 2 days. The app said the mowing service would arrive on Wednesday, August 19. No one showed, and when I communicated with the provider through the app, he came back and said after six hours of silence, that he’s done two jobs and that home has not paid him, and nothing shows on his dashboard. Avoid, avoid all costs.

HomeGnome - Needs Management Escalation
HomeGnome, this is my 5+ no-show or cancellation in 2 months (basically whole summer) in Charlotte, NC.
I’ve contacted support multiple times and been promised it would be fixed. It hasn’t. I am requesting an escalation to management or higher. If I don’t hear back in 48 hours I will file BBB complaint.

Absolute Nonsense
I inquired about getting a backyard mowed for the Summer. This first time, they no-showed and when I emailed them about it, they said they might need to upcharge me if my grass was too long when they arrived. It WOULDN'T BE TOO LONG if they sent someone in time. The second time I tried them again and they had someone call me within 10 mins and said they could get someone to service my yard in 48 hours with a discount. Yay! But after 15 MINUTES on the call, verifying my information and listening to them tell me about their policies, they found my pre-existing account and transferred me. Cue listening to "This call is recorded for quality assurance purposes" every five seconds ON LOOP for five more minutes. I got a second person on the line who then told me they had no one to service my area, I asked for clarification, the call went silent and stayed silent for an additional 3 minutes. I hung up and called back, only to sit on hold for almost 10 minutes. Absolute trash, promising you the moon and stars, but unreliable. Maybe they do good work, maybe they don't. I wouldn't know because their customer service was awful.
EDIT: After confirming with me they don't service my area THEY STILL SENT ME A QUOTE. Are you KIDDING ME???
