Excellent Locksmith Company
From the moment the engineer arrived I felt confident that he knew what he was talking about. He explained everything to me wighout patronising me. I am elderly and so am aware that I am vulnerable but this gentleman in no way tried to ovrrcharge me for unnecessary work. He was quick, efficient and highly respectful. I can 100% recommend this company and Steve who carried out the work. I would definitely use them again as they are outstanding! Thank you!

3rd party work
The initial quote has been quick and specific. The actual work has been to good standards. However as thy employ third party tradesmen it has been confusing and impossible to check what type of lock they would put. In the end the one the locksmith put was not the British Standards I needed for my insurance. So communication has been an issue. This would have been solved if the work was carried out by a self employed person.

We’re sorry, however, that communication regarding the lock specification caused confusion and that the lock installed did not meet the British Standard required for your insurance. We understand how important it is to have the correct specification agreed and fitted from the outset.
This matter has been escalated internally, as the lock supplied should have met the required British Standard. We take your feedback seriously and will use it to improve communication and coordination we our locksmiths.

Jamming locks
The operative arrived on time, was polite and knew what he was doing. My lock kept jamming and he arrived, said it was showing signs of wear and tear but could last longer if required. I decided to replace the lock which was an inexpensive secure lock and saved on another call out. The overall cost was good and the whole thing took less than an hour to complete.

Good service but misleading costs
The service was good, but the costing are misleading, which was disappointing given their commitment to transparency on the website. I was quoted a rough price of £140 for a new lock and labour, but ended up with a bill of £208 which consisted of a surprisingly high labour cost (both hourly rate and the fact I was charged a full hour for a 15 minute job), and a higher than expected cost for the lock itself. It’s unlikely I will use these again in futue

We always aim to be transparent with our pricing and explain all costs during the initial phone call, including that our labour charge is based on an hourly rate, with a full hour charged for any part of an hour. This is explained before attending so that customers are aware of how our charges are calculated.
The price quoted over the phone is an estimate based on the information available at the time, and the final cost reflects the work carried out and the parts supplied.
