I’d had my eye on the Cabinet d’Amour. I received an email back in November stating a “fond farewell “ the product was coming to an end. I decided to get on and order two of these at a cost of just under £600 even though my new bedroom wasn’t quite ready. I also paid a lot of money to have my fitted furniture made in the same colour so everything matched.
A few months ago after my new bedroom was finally finished.I have noticed that they are coming apart around some of the joints and one of the legs has a split nearly across the whole leg. This is not what I would expect after only a few months.
My husband has sent several emails with pictures and we have finally had a response today to say that even under the consumer goods act they are not prepared to do anything about it. To say that I am disappointed is an understatement especially seeing as they still sell the range!
I would have been more than happy to send the items back for them to inspect. What a waste of money and very poor customer service.

Great quality furniture and excellent delivery service. I requested my furniture delivery be delayed until I was ready for it which was no problem. Customer service was a joy to deal with. Bed, bed cover, cushions and 2 sets of drawers delivered and set up with zero issues. Quality of products is exceptional. Absolutely adore my new bedroom and have subsequently ordered the matching dressing table and stool. Highly recommend this company and their products. Also the white glove service is well worth the additional cost.

I recently purchased 2 small items of furniture which arrived on time and nicely packaged. They were very pretty and well-made so I decided to order a bed from French Bedroom. Again, my order arrived on time and very well packed and the delivery company set it up carefully and precisely where it needed to be. It's gorgeous and beautifully made, I'm very happy with my purchase.

Our beautiful bed and mattress were delivered very quickly. The quality of both items was excellent.

The quality of the bedroom furniture surpassed our expectations,and looks absolutely stunning. The furniture is very well packagedto prevent damage and all in all would have no problem placing orders with this company.

I am very pleased with my purchases I was not sure about the quality of one set of bedding but once washed and ironed it is lovely so I am so pleased I did not send it back. For the price I paid I am really pleased and my bed looks great. Along with a good, fast service I will definitely buy more.

The bed is lovely / really good looking bed and exactly how I’ve imagined it. It is also really easy to assemble. I’ve done it myself and I’m only mid age woman. The reason I’m giving three stars is because the bed , the wood , is very squeaky since day 1. Other wise would be perfect. And it is properly done - no gaps etc

“My story with French Bedroom began after purchasing my dream home and searching for the perfect French-style furniture for my master bedroom. I originally had my heart set on a genuine antique French bed, but after several months dealing with antique merchants and not finding quite the right piece, I kept returning to French Bedroom. Whilst not antiques, their furniture was by far the most beautiful and highest-quality French-inspired furniture I came across.

I eventually chose pieces from the Lit d’Amour range and eagerly awaited delivery. Unfortunately, when the furniture arrived, several items were damaged. It was a genuinely disappointing experience, particularly after such a long wait, and even the delivery driver felt the condition of some pieces were not acceptable for delivery. I decided not to accept any of the furniture and asked for it all to be returned.

What happened next is the main reason I am writing this review.

Kai, who had been helping me throughout the sales process, contacted me immediately to apologise and discuss the available options. She completely understood my concerns and, without hesitation, arranged a full refund, which arrived promptly. Although I was disappointed by the initial delivery, the care, professionalism and genuine empathy shown throughout the situation left a very positive impression.

I then resumed my search for the perfect French-style bedroom furniture. However, no matter how many alternatives I considered, I kept finding myself drawn back to French Bedroom. Time and again, the pieces I loved most were theirs.

Several months later, I decided to contact Kai again and give the company a second chance. Throughout both purchases, the level of service and attention I received was exceptional. My only concern had been the condition of the furniture upon arrival, but Kai explained that French Bedroom had made significant improvements to their warehousing and delivery processes and reassured me that everything would be handled to the highest standard.

I am delighted to say that it was.

I now have the most beautiful Tea and Chantilly bed paired with pieces from the Gustavian White range, creating exactly the soft, romantic French-style bedroom I had envisioned. The quality of the furniture is outstanding, and the finished room is everything I hoped it would be.

No company is judged solely by whether things ever go wrong; what matters is how they respond when they do. French Bedroom turned a disappointing first experience into an excellent second one, and I am absolutely delighted with both the furniture and the service I ultimately received.”

I purchased a very beautiful chandelier and I was extremely pleased with the delivery that was perfectly scheduled. Unfortunately I had totally miscalculated the sizing!!!! I had to return the item, and I have to say the Customer Service was brilliant, thankyou. I will measure more accurately next time !
