To be perfectly honest, after several months now with Factor, your meals are starting to all taste the same. Really tired of overcooked zucchini. 75-80% meals all taste the same. I mostly eat/order the fish entrees. Love the Barramundi and salmon, but the sauces are stagnated. It's like you're covering up the dish instead of feeling really clean tasting.
I find that the food quality is better than I could hope for. There are plenty of different options to choose from the menu, and each meal is filling. The delivery process makes it easy to have my meals delivered when I need to.
My order was incorrect. Which is very disappointing given that I use the shakes to help supplement my nutrition.
Meals have always arrived early in the morning except for one time it came in the evening. Not a big deal. One order came up short one meal. They promptly reimbursed me for that one meal.
The first giant red flag was when they required a credit/debit card to even look at their menu and plans; I should have stopped right there.
When i started browsing the menu I realized how expensive the whole thing was. This was compounded by the fact that every meal that had beef in it has an absurd premium added on averaging an additional $5 per meal. It was at this point where I emptied my cart and closed the window.
Fast forward 24 hours and I get an email saying that my card has been charged for a week. I contacted them and told them that I never consented to a charge and to cancel everything. No response. I filed a fraud charge with USAA; still no response. Fast forward 48 hours and they tell me my box has been designed by them and will be shipped.
I choose “skip order” immediately then go about contacting them again to cancel and say that a fraud charge has been filed. No response.
Another 24 hours pass and I get a box of factor meals delivered to my house. Still nobody is responding to my cancellations. The box says “do not return and USAA has already refunded my money so I decide to not let the food go to waste and heat up one of the meals.
First of all the meals are in black plastic, which is made from recycled televisions and electronics. It is impregnated with flame retardants that are released into the food and are linked to cancer. Black plastic is also exposed to heavy metals in the electronics industry. So the “easy meal prep” just had the added step of transferring it to a dish that won’t cause me cancer. The food itself was bland and the portions were bizarre.
TLDR: terrible (nonexistent) customer service, charges your card without authorization, doesn’t cancel when you tell them to, poor value, served in black plastic.
Ps- all of the ice packs were melted in the delivery box.
The portion sizes are generous and the meals are fresh. There’s a good variety of selections.

Do not buy a gift card for someone to use as a gift if they are wanting to try for the first time. When they sign up a code will be applied for new user sign up which will then not allow them to even use the gift card until there are no more codes left in their "benefits". A gift card should be the same as using a credit card not as a "promo code". In the benefits section it even says will automatically be applied to order but IT WILL NOT BE if there is any other code. Will be glad to use up the $100 gift card given as a present for a measly 6 meals so I can shop elsewhere. Terrible way to do business.

1st and third orders had mistakes with it! Either missing or incorrect meals.
1st delivery service I had 1 busted ice pack. I would like to see more variety on the side part of the meal. I have been eating a lot of cauliflower.

I'm really disappointed in Factor today. I can overlook some of the operational issues, late deliveries, incorrect or missing meals. Those are frustrating enough, but they happen. Today I was reading the ingredients list for a new meal, Basil Garlic Roasted Salmon. In the ingredients list is Palm Oil Blend. Palm oil blend isn't necessarily bad, though it is often tied to deforestation and human right abuses, it's possible Factor is sourcing it responsibly. My main concern with palm oil blend is what it's blended with. Usually it's blended with a seed oil, so I contacted customer service to ask what else was in the blend. They told me it's blended with canola oil and also assured me they do not use seed oils, not understanding canola is a seed oil. They must be telling all their customers who ask that they don't use seed oils. That seems to be false.
On Factor's nutrition and ingredient philosophy page they have a section that says in an effort to keep their food as clean as possible they have compiled a list of ingredients we will never see in their food. Canola oil, along with all the other seed oils are definitely on that list. Maybe we won't see them because Factor doesn't list them in the ingredients. They never said we won't eat them.
Having a list of things they will never use, then sneaking seed oils into the food. Come on Factor. That's rotten. And during a time when every other company is figuring out how to remove seed oils from their food, Factor is going backward and being dishonest about it. You know the majority of your customers don't want seed oils in their food and you're doing it anyway. Shameful.
I've trusted and relied on Factor for a large potion of my nutrition each week. Now I'm in the frustrating position of either finding a new meal service or reading all the ingredients for each meal from Factor before I order and hoping they haven't hidden something else in there. If they were willing to hide the canola oil, they're willing to hide something else. This is a great example of their real attitude toward their customers. As long as we think they're keeping our best interests in mind, they don't seem to care if they actually are.

You don’t auto renew your menu and it’s a pain to have to remember to select my menu every week, especially because your items change weekly. Also the food you guys pick out when I dont renew is clearly the cheap crappy pork items - I remember you guys did that last time I used factor too.
Also you guys are disgustingly overpriced - I can eat out for lunch for the same price and get significantly more, fresher food.

Awful, I stated I did not want this subscription I tried to cancel it they still took my money and said oh well I informed them not to ship any meals and to refund the money as I am not even in the area and that food will sit outside for 3 days. They did not care. All I wanted was to cancel the auto subscription and have my money refunded that shouldn’t have been pulled in the first place. Very dissatisfied and you will never have me as a potential customer in the future either. Wasteful and unprofessional

Food was great. However, the delivery was a day late. Thank goodness the cold packs held up pretty well.

UPDATE
Regarding your cookie cutter and very lame response. It's not enough for having almost choked me to death.Clearly you don't take feedback well because you still haven't done anything to address the issue with the exception of this lousy response.
This company sent me a meal with three 1-in pieces of cardboard cooked right into the meal. I have reached out to them several times. They have failed to follow up and do anything to rectify the situation. They clearly don't care that they nearly choked me to death and who knows what else is in their food if they miss three big pieces of cardboard. They also delivered food to me that had been sitting on a truck overnight in extreme heat with no power for over 48 hours. By the time the food was delivered to me it was completely thawed out and not edible.

I did not receive the box on Monday. I called to inform you about this the next day, Tuesday, when I called to report this problem I went to the “Red House” and found the box at the front door. By the way, the hose number is 2016. My house , as you know is 1996. The box was sitting in the sun for a day in a half. Do you want me to teturn the box back? I will not eat the contents as the food may be compromised. Please let me know what you want me to do with with the box.

I recently received my weak order and the food portion within two of the same meals was significantly different. One meal had a chicken breast and the matching meal had three pieces of chicken, equal to about 1/3 of a breast.

The main dishes are great but the sides are lacking in quality and quality. Example, got on 3/4 of a size of a tiny potato and the greenbeans have been rotten.
