I had the ESG procedure with Dr. Zaid Rana at Charleston Surgery Center on June 19th. The entire process as been hands on. The procedure is self pay but so much is included. They offer a financing option if you don't have the cash flow. I started with patient coordinator and she was extremely helpful and very responsive. Once I scheduled the procedure, I met with a nurse a few times. She made sure I was prepared. Everyone, including Dr. Rana, were GREAT before and right after the procedure. After the procedure, you have soooo many resources available. They set you up with a fluids appointment the day after procedure. They also include visits with a dietitian. If you have questions, they are only a text message away. I can't recommend this company enough.

This was one of the best decisions I've made in life. The process was absolutely amazing from beginning to end. The staff, the doctor were all so amazing. They provided a step by step process, they provided a guide for food choices that really kept me on track to achieve my weight loss goal. The procedure was painless and I was able to work 2 days after. I have recommended ESG to several family and friends. The level of support and care they provide will leave you speechless. If you are considering a lifestyle change this is definitely the place to start.

I am so happy with my decision to have ESG stomach tightening with Everself. The pre and post surgery support has been phenomenal. I love that there are patient support groups and one of the reason I chose Everself was because of the year long post surgery support. I am already losing weight but more importantly I am see improvements to my health.

Update! I am now 20 days out and just wanted to add a little update on my experience. I am down 21lbs and I feel amazing! I have needed to reach out to Everself several times and they have maintained their wonderful support and guidance. I would like to give a personal shout out to Everself Detroit as well! Everyone from the Doctor to the front desk were so amazing! Chose Everself for your ESG and you will have 0 regrets!

I was a little nervous at the beginning and actually rescheduled one time but when I was about a week out I wasn't nervous I was excited to start my new journey. I received my scale and set it up 12/16/25 and I was 377lbs, had my procedure 12/19/25. The facility in Tampa was amazing and super clean! The Doctor came in and explained the whole process. The nurses were also amazing and we're there to explain what they were doing step by step. After the procedure I was a little weak and loopy due to the medication but was feeling ok. The next day I had the IV treatment and started to feel a little better after that. I got everything I could to set myself up for success. I had 2oz of my gatorade zero or water every 15 minutes, I had 2oz of my protein shake about every 30 minutes also. I wrote everything down so I saw it on paper. I had to add 1 ensure max protein a day at first due to feeling dizzy/lightheaded. I followed everything to a "T" with water, gatorade zero, popsicles, proteins etc.... I have found many different people on FB that have been able to explain the protein/calories and ive also found many new recipes to try. This tool has helped me be able to not over eat and eat what I should. I eat slower now and more healthy options and look forward to new recipes i can find to try. I do weigh myself every morning because I like to see the progress on the website and it helps me see my progress. I am now 4 months and 1 week out and I am down to 285lbs from 377lbs. I wish I had found this years ago but I found it now and took that leap so I can be on a healthier path in life! I also appreciate the team that ive talked to from the beginning of my process and would recommend this to anyone I talk to thats on the fence about it. Also dont listen to some people that say they haven't lost anything or its not worth it, I saw that and had second guess but then I finally did it and im very happy with the results ive had but ive also kept on weighing my food, protein first mentality and I feel so much better and am ready to hit my next goal of 250lbs since I hit my original "ultimate" goal of 285lbs in 4 months. Good luck on your journey its well worth it if you stick to it

Went in February of 2026, facility was clean and the staff was amazing, procedure went seamlessly, the doctor was super nice and made sure I knew how to get in touch with him if needed. I didn’t bounce back as quickly as some people, who are great within a day or two, but I was great within a week, I tend to take longer to recover so this was still amazing to me. The follow up is great you meet with a nutritionist and have regular appts with a nurse practitioner to make sure everything is good. Would highly recommend this procedure with this facility. 2 months out and I’m down, I believe 12 percent of my weight and still going!

Dr. McGowan is top in his field! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cares for his patients. The care, both before and after the procedure, is top notch. The team is committed to helping you achieve your weight loss goals and making it a sustainable lifestyle. I received the ESG procedure.

Everyone with Everself that I have come in contact with has been professional and caring! My patient liaison, Lianna, is quick to respond and even when I needed to reschedule my procedure 2 days prior to the originally scheduled date due to a death in my immediate family, she was so understanding and even reached out to me while I was out of town for the funeral to be sure that I didn’t need anything. When I eventually was able to have my procedure, everyone at the facility worked efficiently and diligently to ensure all of my needs were met! My discharge nurse was apparently my favorite (I don’t remember her but my husband told me all about it! 😂) . Although I am in the beginning stages of my post procedure journey, the weight is coming off and I already had my first stall but Lianna arranged for me to meet with my dietitian early than orginally planned and I am back to being a happy “loser”. I cannot say enough good things about Everself and their staff!!! The support has been phenomenal from day one!

The best decision I could have made. I'm almost a year old since my ESG procedure, and it's been a complete life-changer. 100% recommended. I started out weighing 197 lbs. and prediabetic; a year later I weigh 133 lbs., and most importantly, I regained my health.

I would definitely recommend Everself Charleston. Dr Zaid Rana performed my ESG procedure on 2/13/26. The staff was friendly, caring and professional. They put me at ease. I never felt really bad, even right after surgery. I just had a feeling of pressure around my stomach area. I felt tired for a few days but was soon back to normal. It's easy to follow the plan. I lost 14 lbs in the first 2 weeks and I am continuing to lose weight.

I had the gastric ballon procedure. Words cannot describe their care for their patients. They have hold my hand through this process and always ready to help.

This whole experience so far has been absolutely incredible. They walk you through everything before and after.
