East Suffolk Council Lowestoft RATS
East Suffolk Council and local housing officer for Normanston Drive, Lowestoft area just useless, lazy to get up and walk along the road to check the over grown gardens (front and back) The grass is so over grown it stands about 4 - 5 feet tall and rubbish laying in gardens (front and back) food bins just laying on the ground. We now have a HUGE infestation of rats in the back gardens, but council refuse to seek out the messy over grown and rubbish in gardens, so more and more rats are breeding but all the council seem interested in taking the council tenants money. Instead of sending out letters or involving environmental health Lowestoft. RATS RATS RATS hundreds of them running around the back gardens while the council do NOTHING. The whole council system is a shambles, apart from taking peoples money. Most people told to cut the grass just cut the grass in the middle of the garden and all edging and hedging is neglected, over grown piles of dumped rubbish & grass in black sacks left around the edge of gardens perfect nesting places for RATS. Waste food bins is a joke!! Food bins left out for days or a week at a time. The council have messed up dates & days when and what bins go out. Environmental health need to get involved as children play right near the back gardens where rats are running about. People also can not use the gardens do to so many rats. It's a huge problem and getting worse. The east Suffolk council has the power to use the Housing act 2004, and the protection act 1990 for pest infestations. Or the public health act 1936. But as usual they just sit on there backsides doing nothing while we have a pest infestation.
UPDATE: Today 23rd JULY 2026 - you know when the Lowestoft/East Suffolk Council has really MESSED UP, when you see a 6 wheel truck go by with an open skip on the back and a male throwing in FOOD WASTE.
Normanston Drive has become a Rats paradise. Last month it was Hollingworth Road, Lowestoft more council properties.
