Great survey report - we actually used them twice in quick succession and would recommend. The only area for improvement is communication on timeline for report post inspection. But nonetheless we were very happy with the service rendered.

We recently used DAW Surveyors for a RICS valuation for probate and couldn't be happier with their service. Communication was great throughout and the report was delivered when they said it would be. I would highly recommend them.

Highly recommend DAW Surveyors. Their Specific Defects Survey report was very thorough, and they were quick and responsive when we followed up with a few questions for our builder a couple of weeks later. Brilliant, straightforward service from start to finish.

Overall I was very happy with the communication and result of the survey report. It was detailed and showed clear findings where possible. The report is well structured and easy to follow with useful guidance/recommendations. I had an urgency and the report was issued before the usual timescale. I chose DAW Surveyors to conduct a Level 3 Building Survey and cannot recommend enough and have absolutely no regrets! They were very promt in responding to my request for a quote, which was incredibly well priced considering everything that's included in the survey and very pleased they included the use of drone pictures within the price (something that many other companies charge as an extra add on). Dan and Emily were extremely friendly, professional and were attentive and understanding to my requests! They kept me well informed of the process and the next steps. I never had to chase them and always felt reassured. The entire survey process was very smooth and had the report back extremely quicker (alot quicker than I expected). Our L3 survey was expertly conducted. The report is comprehensive and detailed. We particularly like the pictures taken with the aid of a drone and the estimates given for areas that potentially require further investigation, maintenance and repair. We recommend DAW as a supplier.

From the first call to enquire about a Probate valuation, to receiving the report both Emily and Daniel were professional and responsive.

Thank you for your updated response insisting that the sloping flooring wasn't in plain sight. Putting aside that one might assume a building surveyor can identify a sloping floor by simply walking on it, I can only assure readers that it was in plain sight. There was indeed a very thin lightweight rug in the lounge to the left of the room. However, as is evident in the sales brochure the majority of the lounge wooden flooring was exposed. Across the length of the lounge on this exposed area, there is a 3cm slope! Continuing the same line of measurement across the adjacent hallway (also all exposed wood flooring) there is a further 3cm slope! Given you had identified a significant crack in a brick lentil right in this area, I would have expected your survey to have identified such a significant slope. It didn't. I'm surprised you consider this acceptable practice.

18/3 Thank you for your reply. If only this company had surveyed my house as thoroughly as it has researched my Trust Pilot history! Rather like the building survey I recieved, your review missed the fact that nearly half of my 40 reviews over 11 years were very positive.

I also don't think we would be needing this conversation if you had crafted your responses to my basic questions as carefully as you craft a mail for the public.

You did indeed identify some minor cracks in the brickwork of no concern. But you clearly missed the 1ft by 1ft crack and loose bricks above a downstairs window. You noted and photographed much less significant issues, and to imply you identified this but didn't highlight it is simply disingenuous. Yes, it's not a lot of money to fix, but you are aware that my questions related to a potentially bigger concern.

Potential clients should be aware that the 'furniture, and floor coverings' that you state were obscuring your assessment, don't actually exist. I can happily post a photo if useful. (Theres not a single carpet or rug in the house!).

Altogether, a professional service, would include not being affronted when clients who have spent good money with you, have concerns about their property and ask straightforward questions of the surveyor.

Our email exchange started with you saying if there was a significant problem with the flooring you would have noticed it, to finally acknowledging it was out of normal range and you actually didn't notice it. Something that was in plane sight on both floors.

I was initially reasonably pleased with the survey - although it would be much simpler to read if it didn't include so much padding in general information regards maintenance etc.

However, a few weeks into the property, and it is evident that two significant things were missed that should have been identified. The response to me trying to clarify this has been nothing short of evasive and contradictory. The surveyor stated that I should have identified these problems when viewing the house, even though I was paying him to do so and he didn't! Sums it up really.

Incredible detailed, transparent and informative report. Produced in a timely manner and at a competitive price. Would highly recommend.

- DAW provided a very detailed report in RICS standard including comments on maintenance advice for the future which is very useful.

I appointed DAW to have level 3 RICS survey for a detached bungalow with conversion loft & extension.

Overall I was very happy with the result of the survey report, it was detailed and showed clear findings where possible.
