I’ve now used Gym Sets three times, ordering various pieces of equipment including weights and an at-home Pilates reformer, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with the service.

I’ll admit, I was a little dubious about ordering from them the first time because I’d seen a few negative reviews. However, I’m so glad I gave them a chance! Every single order has been excellent — speedy delivery, fantastic value for money and brilliant customer service.

Everything has arrived exactly as expected, and I’ve had absolutely no issues whatsoever. In fact, I’ve been so impressed that I wouldn’t consider using anyone else in the future.

I can’t recommend Gym Sets highly enough. A fantastic company and brilliant value for money!

I would strongly recommend using GymSets as it's a high quality store with outstanding customer service. I found Calvien's customer service exceptional after the delivery company delivered my order to the wrong place. Calvien helped resolve the issue immediately and checked in regularly as to the status of the resolution until i received my delivery.

AVOID THIS COMPANY. I ordered a 5 dumbbell set with rack. It turned up in a number of packages. The packaging was not good enough and the larger pair of dumbbells were damaged. They agreed to send some more, however these are damaged too. The packaging is not strong enough. The major issue is that 4 of the dumbbells don't fit in the rack. The lighter ones are too narrow and don't fit. The 3 and 4 kg do fit with a push but are too tight which causes marks on the dumbbells. In time this would cause them to split. The dumbbells they sent just do not go with the rack. Currently trying to get a refund .. not sure how easy or possible that will be as I do not have adequate packaging to send these items back

Gym sets how about you actually resolve my query versus deleting my reviews. I ordered this in August and it came faulty. I’ve then had to contact you over the last month. Try and get a replacement you sent a replacement and again it’s faulty and awful quality. I’ve been speaking to Paul at gymsets - supposedly the customer service manager he speaks a lot of false promises. I was assured I would be receiving a new product in good condition and also a partial refund however all I have received is another faulty one and silence from gym set despite my constant emails and calls. I’ve now had to open a dispute with my bank to try and get a refund for this product. Don’t waste your time. It’s terrible. On top of there said deleting the reviews I’m leaving the product on the website…very sketchy.

★☆☆☆☆ — Five months, two faulty Assault Bikes and still no refund
I would strongly recommend that prospective customers read my experience before purchasing from Gymsets.
I purchased an Assault Bike and Ski Erg from Gymsets under Order #82500. The Ski Erg has been fine. The Assault Bike has resulted in what I can only describe as the worst customer-service experience I have encountered for a very long time.
The original Assault Bike was reported faulty on 2 April 2026, immediately after delivery. It had a serious clunking/crank and chain issue.
At Gymsets' request, I spent considerable time carrying out checks and adjustments myself, despite repeatedly explaining that I am a customer, not a bike technician.
Gymsets eventually supplied a replacement.
The replacement developed the same or substantially similar problem.
After weeks of further correspondence and troubleshooting, I paid £148 of my own money for an independent professional engineer to inspect the machine.
His written report found that the rear crank sprocket and front sprocket were misaligned, causing the chain to jump while the bike was being pedalled. He could not correctly realign the sprockets because there was insufficient adjustment available within the machine.
His conclusion was unequivocal:
The machine was not fit for purpose and the problem appeared to be a manufacturing error.
You might think that would have ended the matter.
It didn't.
Gymsets offered partial refunds of 5%, then 10%, then 15%, despite my making clear that I was rejecting the faulty Assault Bike.
The return process has since become extraordinary.
On 24 June, Gymsets told me in writing that if I did not have the original box I could package the bike using alternatives including a strong tarpaulin or heavy-duty bubble/shrink wrap.
I followed their instructions, spent further money buying the materials, wrapped the machine and sent them photographs.
On 13 July, Gymsets thanked me for securely packaging the bike, confirmed receipt of the photographs and said they had been sent to management/logistics to authorise collection.
Gymsets then changed its position and said the bike had to be boxed and partially dismantled.
I refused.
Since then I have been told at various stages that BJS would collect it, then that XDP would collect it, then that there were problems with the courier, then technical problems with their collection booking system, and subsequently that Gymsets had partnered with another collection courier.
I have repeatedly been asked for collection dates and have provided them.
The bike remains uncollected.
On 4 September 2026 — more than five months after I first reported the fault — Gymsets wrote to me yet again saying that I must now fully disassemble and box the machine before their courier will collect it.
I have refused.
I do not believe a customer should have to dismantle defective gym equipment to accommodate the supplier's choice of courier, particularly after following the supplier's own written packaging instructions.
I have now issued formal pre-action correspondence and prepared the matter for County Court proceedings.
I have retained the complete email history, photographs, videos, independent engineer's report, invoice and packaging evidence to substantiate everything stated in this review.
What makes this experience particularly disappointing isn't simply that a product developed a fault. Products can go wrong.
It is how Gymsets has dealt with the problem afterwards.
More than five months of emails, repeated troubleshooting, a replacement machine with a similar defect, an independent engineer, changing return instructions, several proposed couriers, numerous apologies and promises of escalation — and I still have the faulty machine and have not received my refund.
Based entirely upon my own documented experience, I could not recommend Gymsets.
I will update this review if and when Gymsets finally resolves the matter.

it was the worse experience you can ever have۔ It is a bogus website۔ The dont have anything in stock۔ I have ordered in May they have just delayed my order ropeatedly still have got nothing۔ dont waste your money۔

⭐ 1 star – and even that feels too generous

A genuinely frustrating experience from start to finish.

I paid £242.90 for gym equipment, but the order was repeatedly fulfilled incorrectly. The initial delivery consisted of four boxes, with two containing incorrect and/or missing items. Two further boxes were then sent to resolve the issue, but these were also different from what I had ordered.

To make matters worse, I was offered store credit twice to keep the incorrect and cheaper items, rather than receiving the items I had actually paid for or a proper resolution.

As a result, six boxes had to be collected, with the collection arranged by GYM SETS themselves. All boxes were returned in exactly the same packaging in which they were delivered.

Despite this, I received a refund of only £145.70, with £97.20 deducted for an alleged courier collection charge, including an oversize surcharge, fuel surcharge and VAT.

The collection was only necessary because the correct goods were never supplied. This was not a change-of-mind return.

I have repeatedly contacted customer service and explained the situation in detail. The matter has been “escalated to the Refunds Team” multiple times, and I was originally told I would receive an update within 24–72 hours. That timeframe passed, and despite further chasing, I am still receiving messages saying they are waiting for information.

At this point, 1 star is generous. I am still waiting for the outstanding £97.20 to be refunded.

As I have been unable to resolve the matter directly with GYM SETS, I have now referred the outstanding amount to American Express for review.

I would strongly recommend keeping a complete record of your order, deliveries, photographs and all correspondence if you choose to purchase from this company.

Purchased a reformer and really pleased with the product! It's such great quality, as described and the carriage is so smooth and quiet! Excited to start my pilates princess era!

I am a Personal Training with my own private studio and I have hesitantly ordered from GYMSETS twice, both times the items arrived well within the estimated shipping time, I have also had clients order from here too experiencing the same service as myself - and both items are well made and above expectations. I ordered a hip thrust box and ski erg and can not complain at all about what I received for the price - Angelica also followed up with me after receiving the products to thank me for purchasing and checked I was happy with what I received. I would 100% ignore the negative reviews on here and will definitely be ordering again.

Please be warned that most if not all of the 5 star reviews are fake.

I stupidly placed an order before looking at these reviews, tried to cancel immediately and got told it was confirmed (after an insane amount of back and forth, offering me 10% off, 15% off etc).

I then started getting emails confirming my order was out for delivery. Fantastic news. I refused delivery on everything and then got into contact with them asking for a refund.

I can only assume they are purposely are breaking the UK consumer laws, in the hopes that some people won't question it. My order was around £350. They offered a refund of £250. Keep in mind, I never received the product as I refused delivery.

They tried claiming a 10% 'return fee' - which they state 'helps with the cost of returning the item'. There were no extra costs with returning the item, as I refused delivery. It is also against UK consumer law to charge a flat percentage as a 'return fee'. They also wanted to take another 3% for the credit card fee.

I'm pretty sure as well the person I was communicating with on email was AI, so no actual help there.

I went to my credit card company to open a dispute with the evidence that I cancelled, and what they were trying to pull with my refund. They of course sided with me, did the chargeback and I got my money.

There is a reason why these guys have the cheapest equipment on the market, it is garbage.

Don't make the same mistake I did.
