We paid a premium price but received very basic, low-quality editing in return.
I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with this service. We chose one of the most expensive options (1,550 € total, around 60 € per page), but the quality did not match the price, especially in terms of editing and formatting.
A few examples:
It took several days for them to respond after we had made the payment.
We had agreed to work on the manuscript section by section, but we received everything at once instead.
We had explicitly asked only for editing and formatting. However, the manuscript came back with serious formatting problems : figure cross-references were not set up correctly, and many references and their links were broken.
We requested bringing back to of what he did to our manuscript ( reference hyperlinks, our figures cross-linkers as he copied everything to google doc), but the editor responded about three days after the agreed draft deadline.
The work was done in Google Docs instead of Word, and features such as track changes were not used as we had expected.
In summary, we paid a premium price but did not receive even reliable basic editing and formatting. Based on this experience, I would not use this service again and cannot recommend it.
