Worst broker I’ve ever dealt with

This company is an absolute nightmare to deal with. They blocked my account without even informing me when I moved from Belgium to the UK. Since May 2025, I’ve been forced into back-and-forth communication more than five times, and here we are in September 2025, with nothing resolved.

They completely ignore emails, and the only “responses” I ever get are delayed letters that arrive days late. It doesn’t come across as incompetence, it feels like arrogance. As if they know they’re holding all the power and simply don’t care.

Months wasted, zero accountability, and a total contempt for their customers. Easily the worst company I’ve ever had to deal with.

I'm trying to change my Iban number but…

I'm trying to change my Iban number but it's not possible to reach anyone except mails when I send mail they're asking proof that I have that Iban so I'm filling the document sending proof but no they're not answering my emails or explaining to me what I'm doing wrong it shouldn't be such difficult to reach costumer service and change my information! You can't even call them such problems only you can call for selling or buying stocks! Worst stocking company ever and prices are crazy expensive to buy and sell stocks!

The worst broker I have dealt with

Take weeks to answer emails, charge ridiculous amounts of money for everything (€50 per invested asset if you want to move your portfolio out, so if you have 10 of them that's €500). And if you want to cash your money out, they do not accept to pay your OWN MONEY to any NON-BELGIAN bank account (which is against EU laws).

When pushed for a solution, their only answer is "you will have to close your account and we will then make an exception to pay on a non Belgian account". Which I did, and STILL when closing my account, they have the audacity to tell me "we PREFER paying your money out on your Belgian account please adjust your closure request". How is it their call to decide where my money will be paid out?! I literally couldn't believe them. How can such a terrible company still exist?

Fee is too high

Fee is too high, auto-logout too fast, waste a lot of time just to login every day, not user friendly and well...I can continue...but I wont waste more time.

Had to pay taxes on a loss making position. And was asked to deal with this myself.

Bolero basically made me pay c. EUR 500 in 2Q2023 on a long loss making position on Credit Suisse, with a value (market price) of c. EUR 2'000 (I lost c. 4'000 on this position).

Why ? Because they explained me "it is a merger with UBS, and this transaction is subject to a tax".

Have you ever heard about a major tax on a transaction for which you lost thousands of EUR ?

This is an outrageous. At best, it is an extremely badly managed platform (communication & fiscal wise) and at worst, they fiscal advisors are doing an improper job with the Belgian authorities.

Cherry on the pie: Bolero asked me to deal with this myself - not helping.

One advise: go for another platform. If it happened for this transaction, I don't even want to know what can happen with others.

shady website…

It is a shady website since it constantly charges hidden fees to the extent that your account won't last long. Avoid it at all costs and instead, go to degiro.
