Paid 80 for crash data removal from a Mach e airbag control unit. This should be an easy fix for a company like this. It was allocated to a technician and after chasing they declared they couldn't sort it. Received it back after paying £12 for postage. They told me they would refund the rest, after chasing they told me that there was an" error "and they would sort it, phoned again and told it was being processed, no money. Chased again and finally got the balance. Received it back a few days later put it back in the car and it had more faults than it had when it was sent. Sent the new codes to another company and they told me that some key configuration data had been deleted and I would probably have to take it to ford, so this will now cost loads.AVOID THESE USE SOMEONE ELSE.

Sent a dash from a ford transit for repair, after several chasing phone calls, was told they couldn't repair it and would need a remanufactured unit.
Waited another week or so, chased several times. Eventually got a dash back, which did not look remanufactured at all.
refitted dash, odometer reading was different from old unit, fuel and temperature guages read wrong.
This is clearly just a dash that was bought in and sent to us. They will not return our original dash - very poor service would never use again.

They repaired and fixed the issue with my instument cluster, I was happy to pay the price quoted.

But communication from them is appalling. I was quoted 2 to 3 days. It ended up being three weeks with no communication from them whatsoever. I had to call them four times, before the job was complete, I wasn't looking for a discount but a simple apology for the delay in the service provided would've been perfect.

Total disgrace. They don’t fix it. They don’t send it back. They don’t talk to you. Better throw your unit.

Excellent service - Autotronics engineers did something the garage said was impossible and our car is now working perfectly. They didn't charge us nearly enough for the difference they made and they were super nice and helpful with it!

It took six weeks of back and forth just to try and find out what was going on with the ECU that we sent to them for a warranty repair after the first repair failed. We had to chase all the time and all we got back from them was "just call us back on tuesday" or "it'll be fixed by thursday". The ECU came back broken with no refund offered and they wouldn't take the ecu back to warranty "repair" the first warranty "repair" after the first "repair".

Avoid at all costs

Great all-round service repairing an EIS. Excellent communication, quick and effective repair, and all done at the price quoted. Unit was repaired at much less cost than other companies quoted to replace the unit and recode two new car keys

Their website says that they offer repairs for the LCD display in my Maserati Quattroporte dash for '£280 + VAT' and I rang to enquire how much it would be for LCD replacement before I sent it. I had a vague answer referring to the same figure or perhaps £300 or more. Three days after they received it through the post they rang to say it would be £680 + VAT! I asked for an explanation and was told that the part was expensive (they didn't exactly say it would be a genuine Maserati part). I asked whether it could be done more cheaply and they quoted £550 + VAT with a cheaper part that would take 'two or three days' to come in. Unsurprisingly I rang six days later to find that it would be another week for the part to arrive. I had lost all confidence and asked them to send the part back. I am two weeks and £96 poorer and have learnt a lesson!

Please avoid this company. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Drop off a steering column for repair and was told it was going to be 2-4 days, day 4 arrived and heard nothing from them. I had to contact them for an update to then be told that’s a part needed to be ordered which was only ordered on that day. Another week goes by and still nothing so had to chase again, I was then told the part had only arrived on that day so would still be another few days. Eventually after 2 weeks finally got a phone call to say it had been fixed. Website advertised a 2-4 day service which in reality was 14 days. To top it off they advertise the repair on the website at one amount and then charge you another amount when you go to pick it up. Absolute shambles of a company. Do not use

Called them before sending my steering rack for repair to make sure the torque sensor would be replaced, as I knew this was the failed part. Was told that was not an issue and to send them the steering rack. Payed £312 and sent the rack for them to have it for two weeks to tell me it could not be repaired…fair enough. Send me the rack back and refund me…yes not a problem. Steering rack came back. I waited and waited for a refund which never appeared. I then contacted the company several times to request the refund/ask what was going on. I was told accounts said it had been paid (which it never had). After countless times of contacting and being told lies and that someone would call me back,( which they have not done once!!!) I’ve come to the conclusion this company is just a scam! I’ve been in the motor trade for 20 years and never had to deal with a company like this!! Complete shambles….please save your time and money and use someone else!!

Can’t believe how quickly they did the repair! Corroded casing now looks like new. Really pleased and works fantastic. No more airbag lights or faults.

Autotronics turned around the repair of my instrument cluster extremely quickly. It was well packaged on its return. Communications were very efficient and helpful.

Repair and upgrade on tachometer and speedometer
On my first call I was filled with confidence that my problems could be solved, within a few days, overall time was two weeks. I delivered directly to them 170 miles round trip
The part required was not obtainable so I had to purchase and deliver a used unit for part needed, fault was solved successfully while I waited
However I am disappointed with the refit of the facia and chrome surrounds of the two gauges the fit is not as I expected
