Great value with an efficient and courteous service

The shipping was fast and the sweaters are absolutely gorgeous! The only reason I gave four stars is I haven’t really been able to wear them because they stink so bad!
I’ve read other postings and I’ve searched up on the website what to do to get rid of the horrible animals smell. So far I’ve only had time to rewash one of the sweaters. I did write to this company, but they didn’t write me back, but it didn’t matter. I found other articles on their website and other people who had given tips. So I filled up a sink full of cold water and added a very gentle liquid soap. I gently submerged up and down, squeezed a little bit with my hands and then after soaking for maybe five minutes… I drained the sink gently squeezed the whole sweater like a clump so I didn’t misshape -tossed it into a laundry basket that I had a big beach towel and so it didn’t drip everywhere and took it outside to roll into some more towels until I got enough water through it that I could straighten it out and leave it air dry flat. The drying process took about three days. A warning! As the sweater was drying…, and when it was wet, it began to reek even more! My husband started to make jokes about herd animals and wondered if I’d be able to keep it?! Magically after the drying process, though it had probably 1/4 of the smell that it had before I washed it!
I then mixed up some essential oils and brought it back inside our house after 3 days outdoors.(I waited for a stretch where we had no rain of course and it was only partially sunny)
Once indoors I used clove essential oil mixed with some water and spritzed it. If it gets slightly damp, the stench starts to return, but after it dried… once again; it is bearable! I could actually wear it outside, walking my dog now!
I don’t think I would ever choose to wear it inside at a gathering-1st off it’s a very warm sweater. Second, I’d be worried about the smell. Even though it’s much lighter now it’s still a work in progress!
I don’t regret buying the sweaters because, again; they are beautiful. It’s just going to take some work I guess for me to even be able to put them on. Eventually, I’ll get to working on the second one so that I’m able to try wearing it.
Also, I think I’m gonna stop at these two sweaters because the smell is pretty bad and I can’t imagine going through this work to try to wear anything else in the future.
I haven’t looked extensively through the website. Maybe they make cotton sweaters?
I think it’s the lanolin in the wool that is the culprit of the stench.

I misread a tracking email and they were very polite about explaining my mistake in understanding what the tracking was saying. I appreciated that and the sweater is lovely.

I have not yet received my purchase. Do you think it will clear customs any time soon?

The sweaters are beautiful and top quality. They have taken care of shopping for Christmas. The customer service is outstanding with the help they furnish. Delivery was extremely fast considering they were shipped from Ireland.

This was my second order from Aran Sweater Market. The first time, I ordered a sweater for myself. This time, I ordered two hooded sweaters that my wife selected. Both orders arrived in six days. We are quite pleased with the style, quality, and fit of our sweaters.

The 1/4 Zip Donegal fleck in green is finely woven and looks great paired with a white or light blue dress shirt.
Customer Service promptly replied to my questions. Overall, I give Aran Sweater Market, their product, and staff 5 Stars.

Lots of offers which are worded in such a way as to make you think they apply to you but nothing applicable to me in the end as a first order customer.
I have wasted hours on this order but will not purchase as feel let down and because the wording on offers should be clearer.
A shame As I really wanted one of your cardigans but can’t risk the size being incorrect and having to pay for a return.
