As ever, a great experience using Coopers. Our washing machine broke down this Tuesday, I called up, was offered various machines, discussed them, chose one and it was delivered and installed on Thurdsday.

I was pleased with the customer service, Phil was very knowledgeable and helped me choose the machine that suited my needs. It took a week for delivery but the machine was installed & the old one removed with a certain degree of difficulty as the isolation valve stuck!

We waited ten days for delivery of this fridge/freezer. Bought food in preparation for its arrival on Monday. The delivery driver arrived, walked in, took one look at two steps and a doorway and said he had hoped it would be a straight walk to put it in. He said he would talk to his mate in the van. They then drove off! We know this because we looked in the street and they were not there.
I want to give this shop ZERO stars as they don't even deserve one star. I bought from a shop instead of online in order to try and keep the shops open but I will NEVER USE THIS SHOP AGAIN!!!
The lazy delivery man did not like the fact he would have to lift the fridge/freezer down two small steps and promptly left to talk to his mate in the van. They then drove off! I went out in the street and can verify this. We phoned the shop and spoke to rude/misogynistic Phill, who has no business working with normal people! (or any people).
Was told they had sent us an email with delivery instructions and we should have made sure our house was okay to receive the fridge/freezer, which was actually smaller in height and width than the old model!
I don't use email and they didn't even ask me for one when I was I the shop, so they couldn't have sent me one! I was rudely told by PHIL, 'This is YOUR problem not ours!' I said the delivery men had driven off and hadn't even got a tape measure out or tried to take away the normal sized old freezer which I might add had arrived in a big, padded box and the JOHN LEWIS PROFESSIOINAL delivery team managed to get in with no problem. Nobody from Coopers knew what was happening or even cared.
Next thing the van is back, so I went to ask what was happening. I knocked on the window of the van and asked if the man could wind down his window so I could speak to him, he refused giving me a filthy look as if to say, 'why the hell was I bothering him.' I asked again if he could wind down his window and he just sat giving me a filthy look. So, I had to go around the van into the middle of the road and speak to the other guy. This had been over half an hour since they first arrived. I asked him what the problem was. He said, in a couldn't-care-less attitude, we have to take the doors off the fridge. I asked, is it the new one or the old one? He said the old one. I asked why when the old one had fitted through fine? He went mad saying, 'WHY YOU COMING TO MY VAN WITH AN ATTITUDE?!' We were waiting with the front door open for half an hour not knowing what was happening. He then said, 'F*** OFF! I was gobsmacked, his mate said, 'Calm down' whilst looking at me and I told the first guy not to swear at me. The other guy then said, 'F*** OFF BICH!' I said that they deserved the sack for talking to a customer like that and the other guy said, 'F*** YOU, YOU RAT' and drove off! I called the shop immediately and spoke to PHIL who I told about the foul-mouthed swearing. He said, 'THERE ARE TWO SIDES TO EVERY STORY.' I am sure John Lewis' staff would not have effed at their customers and driven off because their delivery drivers were so unfit and lazy that they couldn't manage to lift the appliances that it was their job to lift!!
I asked to speak to the manager, Darrin. He called back and when I asked if he knew that his staff had use the F word, he said, in a condescending couldn't care-less manner, 'I know, I've spoken to my delivery driver already.' It was clear he didn't care how they had acted towards his customers! THEY seemed in charge not him. He said the driver had told him that he had lost his temper and told me to F***K OFF and that the two men in the van said I was aggressive!!! One small woman versus two men. I did not swear at them! The whole interaction lasted about 45 seconds (hardly time to get aggressive over a fridge delivery?!) before I walked away! I didn't climb on the bonnet and scream like a banshee, I merely asked what was going on. They didn't like being questioned by a woman, it was obvious by their manner especially the, F*** OFF BICH' comment. What else could that have been except misogyny? They gave us no updates for over half an hour then drove off.
Coopers home site says how good their service and delivery are! Does this sound like a good experience?
STEER CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE! No wonder the high street is closing down! If anyone else has had a bad experience, please leave a review to warn other women about this incident with the drivers. I will be contacting the police.

Coopers staff were *so* helpful in assisting me find appliances for my kitchen. It made the whole process manageable and gave me confidence that I was choosing good quality items. When I came to the showroom their staff spent time listening to the specifics of what I was looking for and talking me through different options. They were so knowledgeable- and patient! Afterwards when I had further questions it was easy to reach someone on the phone and customer service was excellent. When I came to order, they were able to offer discounts which meant I was paying less for the exact same goods compared to buying direct from retailer or another store.
I highly highly recommend using Coopers - can’t fault them and without them the process of choosing kitchen appliances wound have been far more time-consuming, stressful and I may not have ended up with such good quality products at a decent price.
