I am a web developer and I recommend this gateway, it is a really nice plugin and very easy to setup, the support we got too was excellent.

The website has really become terrible…

The website has really become terrible in the last few years, the move to a single page setup and just the general setup is really sub par. You should revert back to the older site as its really poor and so slow right now.

Auto Installing Terrible Plugins

Recent practices mean I can no longer after close to 10 years recommend SG anymore. They are now encouraging some of the silliest AI first practices I have ever seen. The hosting company now sees it self as a reseller for AI, so shortsighted. You lost a customer and one that was referring ppl to you regularly.

While we understand that not everyone shares the same enthusiasm for AI, our intention is not to redefine ourselves as an AI company or move away from our core focus on hosting. Rather, we see AI as one of several technologies that many customers are increasingly looking to incorporate into their workflows, and we want to make those capabilities available in a simple and accessible way.

It's also worth noting that this is not a third-party plugin. It is a SiteGround-developed integration designed specifically to connect WordPress sites with SiteGround AI Studio and the AI capabilities introduced with WordPress 7.0.

At the same time, we recognize that these capabilities are not something every customer wants to use. If you prefer not to have them enabled, the plugin can be disabled or removed at any time directly from your WordPress dashboard.

We appreciate that you disagree with the direction we took in this case, and we're grateful for both your feedback and your years of support.
