Dealt with Jas Singh
Dealt with Jas Singh. His communication needs serious work. I asked him multiple times when renewing our mortgage about incorporating our property tax because we don’t have the money to pay it in instalments and we have always had it tacked onto our mortgage. Each time I asked about it, it was not properly addressed and seems as though it was completely avoided. After I confronted him about this when I saw our renewal and it did not include property tax, he told me that I can make a payment plan with the city for my property taxes because THINK financial doesn’t offer that (which was NEVER previously communicated no matter how many times I brought it up!!). I just called the city and before I can make a payment plan, I need to pay what is outstanding, which I do NOT have. So now I don’t know how I am going to pay my property taxes. I can’t speak for any other agent at true north, but I’ve had more than one issue with Jas Singh along the way and I would not recommend.

After reviewing your file, we confirmed that we advised you prior to the original mortgage funding that property taxes could not be paid through your mortgage and that payment would need to be made directly to the city. Your agent mentioned that adding them at renewal may be possible, though this wasn't guaranteed, and helped you locate an instalment plan through the city.
