Review of Sticky Zoo

FALSE ADVERTISING – PRODUCT MISREPRESENTATION

Sticky Zoo advertised its phone straps as being made with "REAL STONES – HAND CUT" and featuring an "18K GOLD-PLATED CLASP." However, the product I received does not match the description on the product page. The “real stones" are not genuine; they appear to be made of resin or another synthetic material. Furthermore, the clasps do not appear to be 18K gold-plated, as advertised, as they bear no "18K" stamp or hallmark, and the Sticky Zoo stamp on the clasps featured on the product webpage is also missing.

On the same day I received the product, I contacted the company's Customer Support to notify them of the product misrepresentation and requested a prepaid return shipping label, as the item was not as described.

After a 2 week back and forth exchange, Sticky Zoo did not dispute the product misrepresentation but declined to provide a prepaid return shipping label. Instead, they offered only a 20% partial refund and instructed me to keep the item.

Sticky Zoo misrepresented the product and failed to deliver an item that matches its advertised description. Despite being notified of the issue, they refused to provide an appropriate resolution and instead offers only a partial refund while requiring me to keep a product that I did not order.

This is not an acceptable remedy for a product that was misrepresented at the time of sale.

DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY

DON'T BUY ANY PRODUCTS FROM THIS COMPANY. I have the expensive Smoothskin Pure Fit System, brand new out of the box. The Activation Button and the Mode Button will not work or switch on. I'm now outside the 2 year warranty window. I bought the product and never used it because I was dealing with health issues, never thinking that the device will not even switch on when it's brand new. And, based on the negative reviews posted that their device won't work either or stopped working after a short time and customer service is terrible, it's pointless for me to even contact this company. I've been cheated out of $419.

No Name No Service Sales Approach

Intego should change its aggressive and obnoxious sales approach which is insisting and demanding for the full name of a potential customer before it would even agree to have a conversation. "I will have to close out this call if you don't give me your name." It's like going to an Apple store, a Microsoft store, Best Buy or any other stores and have a salesperson demanding to know your full name before it would allow you to even enter the store. Intego's "consumer" sales/support staff identified himself as a supervisor from their TX location. It doesn't say much about a security software company that hires or promotes supervisors like him. Obviously, they don't need my business.

Sinemia closed its U.S

Sinemia closed its U.S. operations based on the notice found on their website. I haven't been able to buy tickets since February. They probably were already planning to close operations but wanted to recoup as much as they can by scamming people into buying their program

Demand for Government Photo ID & Cancellation Policy vs. Automatic Renewal

If you are unhappy with Sinemia’s program and support service and can't use the app to buy tickets because it can't recognize your phone even when it's the same device; and/or because it's demanding a photo of your government issued ID plus a separate photo of you holding your government issued ID (e.g. driver's license) which you understandably don't want to share with potentially a foreign merchant based in Istanbul (credit charge,) I hope you are at the end of your Sinemia annual membership and not at the beginning or middle of it.

So, even if you are corresponding with Sinemia under the same email address you established your account which contains your full name, birthdate, address and your credit card information (social security # if you submitted it during sign-up although it’s not required to set up the acct); Sinemia Support still refuses to recognize that you are the account holder and insists you provide a government-issued ID. Their company rhetoric is: "By verifying your ID, you help us ensure you are who you say you are and that you are the sole user of your Sinemia account."

Now, you may want to ask: Why would Sinemia assume a member is anyone but who that member says he is under the email address that member established under his account? Why isn’t verifying all the personal information (full name, DOB, address, credit card #, SSI if submitted but not necessary) established under the member’s account sufficient? Why would Sinemia assume someone else is using the member's phone to purchase tickets and what are they basing that assumption on? How does providing a member's government-issued ID proof that the member is the sole user of his non-transferable Sinemia account? Why isn’t the member made aware during the sign-up process that a government-issued ID must be provided by members a month into their fully paid membership as a requirement to be allowed to continue to use their fully paid account? Why would Sinemia even ask for anyone's SSI?

Also, a member doesn’t have a full month to use up all the movie days bought under the plan. For example, if a membership officially started on 12/30, you only have until the 27th of each month to use all the movie days. I expect to have until at least the 30th or the 31st to use up all of my movie days and not be given only 27 days to use my movie days.

In addition, there is a difference between canceling a membership vs. canceling the "renewal" of a membership. With Sinemia, if you have a monthly membership, you are canceling the automatic renewal of next month’s membership which is not a big deal if you already used one movie day in the current month. However, if you cancel an annual membership, you are just canceling the "automatic renewal" of the existing membership when it expires at the end of 12 months. You are not getting any money back for future months you haven't used yet. In reality, you're not "canceling" your membership, you're just not "automatically renewing" your membership. Therefore, if you are at the beginning of your membership, you’ll be losing a lot of money to an annual membership that you paid for but can’t access because of Sinemia’s irrational and unreasonable demand for a government-issued ID.

In a nutshell, avoid this foreign merchant at all cost.

Hi, ID verification is required to prevent fraud and keep Sinemia sustainable and affordable. By verifying your ID, you help us ensure you are who you say you are and that you are the sole user of your Sinemia account. Also, once you upload the necessary documents, the ticketing feature will be automatically turned on.
Please provide your contact details so that our team may assist you with the process. Thank you!

Sinemia App Can't Recognize My Phone as the Same Device

The processes of buying a ticket in advance under "Planning" and checking-in are excruciatingly confusing and convoluted compared to Moviepass: 1.) You have to buy the ticket through a 3rd party (Fandango/Atom/Movietickets,etc.) and get charged a convenience fee which is not revealed when signing up for the program. 2.) If you don't have a physical Sinemia card, you have to make sure you check-in on the app exactly at showtime, not 1 minute later, or risk not being able to use your ticket which would be counted as a used ticket forcing you to buy another ticket out-of-pocket. I felt I had no choice but to buy a physical card to avoid being charged a convenience fee (you can buy a ticket directly from the movie theater) and late check-in problems (a physical card allows late check-ins while a cardless card doesn't.)

I thought that was the end of the problem with Sinemia. Nope, I wasn't so lucky. The Sinemia app has twice now refused to recognize that I'm using the same phone that I had downloaded the app to. I was auto signed out of the Sinemia app on my phone for unknown reasons. Each time when attempting to sign back in, I received the same warning notice as before “You can only use Sinemia app on 1 device at a time, and you can only change your device 3 times. You have 2 device changes available. You must confirm your device change before continuing.” I was forced to confirm my phone both times as a new device in order to use the app to buy tickets and check in. I now have only one new device confirmation left and will be locked out and unable to use the app if the app can't recognize my phone for the third time.

It's incredible that there are so many problems and glitches using this program/app when I've only had Sinemia for about a month. I've emailed Sinemia 3 days ago, contacted them through their website support (2x) which promised a 24-hour response but didn't get one, and also twittered them. So far, total silence from Sinemia.

Hi, we are sorry to hear that you think in this way. Sinemia provides payment for movie tickets and the ticket providers charge the convenience fees, you may become a member of a loyalty clubs so that you may have the fees waived.
Even if you have a Sinemia physical card you need to complete your check-in at the theatre, it does not have to be at the exact show time. You have 4 hours time span in order to complete a check-in for advance tickets or in theatre tickets.
Please be noted that using same device with other member is a violation of Sinemia terms and conditions, that is why you have 3 device change right. If you get out of device change right, you please contact Sinemia support so that they can assist you about it.
Our support will contact you as soon as you provide your contact details. Thanks.
