Very poor customer service once a delivery problem occurs

Update (28.08.2026, 16:10):
Update: The parcel was eventually delivered — not at the UPS Access Point confirmed in the tracking, but at a completely different shop in Audruicq. UPS customer service explained that the requested locker in Autingues had been full, so the parcel had been diverted elsewhere. However, I received no notification of the new pickup location, and the tracking still indicated the originally selected Access Point. I only found the parcel after calling UPS myself. During all this time, WilTec did not lift a finger to help but only repeated statuses (interpreting them wrongly in one case).

My order itself was processed without any apparent problem, but Wiltec’s customer service was extremely disappointing once UPS failed to deliver the parcel.

The shipment had been stuck at the UPS depot in Liévin since Monday. On several consecutive days UPS marked it as “Out for Delivery”, only to redirect it back to the same delivery centre shortly afterwards. After two failed delivery days I even redirected the parcel to a UPS Access Point, but the same cycle continued.

UPS customer service explicitly told me to contact the sender. I therefore forwarded Wiltec the UPS correspondence and explained the tracking history in detail.

Wiltec nevertheless replied that the parcel was “still in transit to the selected UPS Access Point” and that they could not intervene. This was simply not what the tracking showed. Their reply also referred to the parcel not having been returned to their warehouse, although I had never claimed that it had.

In other words, their support either did not properly read my message and the tracking history, or was unwilling to deal with the carrier they had chosen.

As a customer, I am not prepared to spend days doing the seller’s work, contacting UPS and trying to resolve problems with Wiltec’s shipping provider myself.

Because the promised delivery date had already passed and Wiltec still offered no concrete solution, I ultimately escalated the case through ManoMano and requested cancellation and a full refund under the ManoMano guarantee.

A seller cannot control every mistake made by a carrier. But I do expect the seller to take responsibility when its carrier repeatedly fails to deliver. Wiltec did not do that in my case

Dear Customer,
Thank you very much for your detailed review. Your feedback helps us continuously improve our service.
We are sorry that you experienced these inconveniences during the delivery by UPS. We fully understand your frustration regarding the changed pickup location and the lack of notification.
Please understand, however, that we have no influence over the actions or decisions of UPS employees and therefore cannot accept responsibility for them. The information we provided to you was based on the shipment status that was available to us at the time.
We did everything that was within our possibilities in this situation. Had the parcel not been delivered or been declared lost, we would have immediately initiated an investigation with UPS and, if necessary, sent you a replacement shipment without delay.
Nevertheless, we take your complaint very seriously and will forward your feedback to UPS so that the matter can be reviewed internally.
We wish you a pleasant day.

I have rarely experienced such poor service from a parcel company

Update (28.08.2026, 16:15):
The package finally turned up but the situation got somehow worse. After telling me at 09:23 that the package was going to the UPS center in Liévin again (which it apparently hadn't left), the next message at 11:46 said that it had been delivered at the agreed pickup point (a locker in Autingues). Only that I never received a PIN. I drove to Autingues and didn't find any place where the parcel could possibly be ready for pickup without a PIN). I then called the UPS support. Good that I know the number that doesn't incur another service fee because that's what usually happens. UPS makes problems. You have to pay to get them resolved. It turne out that the parcel had been delivered to a totally different pickup point, a shop in Audruicq with inconvenient opening hours. When I asked why, the answer was that the locker in Autingues had been full. Why I wasn't informed was also beyond comprehension of the service person. Overall, I had to change a home delivery to a pickup station delivery because UPS was unable to deliver which still took 3 days because the package kept one circling in Liévin. Only to be delivered to the wrong place. More than one hour lost and 38km driven unnecessarily.

Original:
I have rarely experienced such poor service from a parcel company.

My parcel was scheduled for delivery on 24 August and again on 25 August. On both days UPS announced delivery, but the parcel never arrived and was returned to the Liévin depot. The tracking information was contradictory and at one point even showed a “hold for pickup request” although I had made no such request.

After wasting two days waiting for UPS, on 25 August at 21:49 I deliberately redirected the parcel to a UPS Access Point. UPS accepted the request and explicitly confirmed:

**“Total charges: Free.”**

The following day the parcel was still circulating within the Liévin system. It was later marked “Out for Delivery” again and then redirected back to the delivery centre yet another time.

I contacted UPS customer service through their web form. Their response was astonishing: I was told to contact the sender because the requested modification was **“now chargeable.”**

So UPS failed to deliver the parcel repeatedly, accepted a redirection caused by those failures at a confirmed cost of €0, failed to execute that redirection properly, and then informed me afterwards that the modification was now chargeable.

Even contacting customer service is unnecessarily difficult. The website contains broken or highly restrictive forms, Firefox did not work properly with the contact page, and many menu combinations lead only to automated self-service options instead of allowing the customer to describe an actual problem.

All of this is documented with UPS emails, screenshots and tracking history.

A delivery company can occasionally have a delayed parcel. What is unacceptable is several consecutive failed deliveries combined with contradictory tracking information, dysfunctional customer service and an attempt to change the conditions of a delivery modification after it had already been confirmed as free.

This has been one of the worst courier experiences I have had in France.

No practive information on delays

My last order says "Shipped" since a week but the pump is still standing in your shipping department. There is no pro-active communication by AgriEuro. When I contacted support they answer was "massive delays". But I want solutions and not excuses. Whar are you doing about it.

Otherwise, support is responsive but the answers don't go beyond what I can read in the manual or the data sheet. I would expect that you ask the manufaturer in certain cases, particularly when you are selling material with your own branding.

Review of AMV ASSURANCE

Worst after sales service ever

Triumph Motorcycles in the UK has the worst after sales customer service I have ever seen in my life. I am not talking about the dealers who have always been very helpful but about the central.

I moved from Switzerland to France recently including my Triumph Thunderbird 1600 ABS that had been registered for the first time in Switzerland in 2009.

Triumph Switzerland sold me a CoC that turned out to be totally useless in France because it doesn't have the required data for a motorbike registration in France.

I had to order a special certificate for 400.- EUR (300.- EUR for the paper, roughly 100.- EUR for the inspection of the part numbers).

More than three months later, I still haven't received the document. A mail that I sent a month ago to the Triumph's technical support has never been answered.
