A friend recommended me the site. I found the site poor not having enough information about the hotel (I was looking on other sites for these).
The reason why I booked was because the option that I was looking for (room with balcony, 3 persons) wasn’t available on other sites. The price wasn’t better that on booking.com for example.
Very disappointed were the credit card fees (2%) which are not transparent at all during the booking. I called the service desk once I realized they I will be charged more than agreed to ask why I am paying so much and apparently the credit card fees are included in the term and conditions sections. I don’t really understand why is this as by other sites they are visible once you choose the payment method. In this way you have the possibility to pay by credit card or a debit card and you are aware about the fees. Beside this they are very very high, much higher than by other sites, which make the price not really attractive.
I personally will never book again on travelrepublic.
