About ProEDI Translation Software

ProEDI is an affordable EDI software package that allows users to setup Unlimited Trading Partners and Documents (EDI Maps). This on-premise solution has a very small IT footprint, and usually runs in the background on your Windows Server or PC. We have been around since the mid 90s, and still exist today because of our old-fashioned personal US-based Customer Service and Support.

ProEDI is ideal for Healthcare, and Transportation companies, as well as organizations sending 850 POs and 810 invoices. However, we support ALL x12 and EDIFACT EDI Standards, and allow our clients to create unlimited EDI maps themselves if they choose. Alternatively, we can create any customized EDI map for a one time fee.

Pro EDI helps you to seamlessly manage all your EDI needs while cutting costs. We offer Value Added Network and AS2 Services as well. If you'd like to see our up-front pricing via email, or enjoy a demo walk-through, please give us a call today!

"Great if you're a Consultant or Reseller"

    Posted 2022-04-27

Pros: Very few EDI options out there these days that aren't 'tied down' or 'Software as Service' models meant to keep you under their thumb. ProEDI is a little dated, but so is EDI in general. I like that we can tell our customers to purchase ProEDI Lite Edition, and WE can write the maps for them... and charge whatever we want. ProEDI Supports them directly but we have the option to help them with IT/EDI Projects. The mapping interface is pretty intuitive. The main selling point is probably the Support Team - Real people, right away which is refreshing in 2022.

Cons: Does not seem to utilize API or direct database connectivity. No XML or JSON support, but can do CSV or Flat files as a work around.

Overall: Great overall experience for the 6+ years we've been reselling / recommending ProEDI to our customers. They don't step on our toes or infringe on our clients, but help them patiently whenever needed. Great for small businesses or folks who like 'old fashioned software.'

    "Great Software"

    Posted 2019-05-17

Pros: Pro EDI is a great tool for our purchase orders. It just works and it is probably the best value you can get for an EDI translator. Support is excellent.

Cons: I feel like they can update the graphical user interface. It looks a bit like Windows 3.1.

Overall: Pro EDI does everything we need it to, despite the dated interface.

"We Use ProEDI LE to exchange 810 Invoices and EDI 850 POs with our 1st Trading Partner"

    Posted 2019-05-11

Pros: Everything is done in the background the way we have it setup.

Cons: We were going to write our own EDI maps but decided not to... It looked kind of confusing but that might just be EDI. Luckily they have an option for people who don't want to write maps.

Overall: We like how easy it is to use... We don't even interface with the software really. We use .BAT files and Scheduling Scripts to streamline everything and it works really well.
