"Endpoint Central: A Balanced Review for IT Teams" Posted 2025-12-23
Pros: ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a powerful yet easy-to-use tool for managing and securing computers from a single console. It helps us to quickly deploy patches, software, and updates, reducing security risks and manual work. The solution supports Windows, macOS, and Linux, and also manages mobile devices, making it suitable for mixed environments. Features like remote troubleshooting, asset management, and policy enforcement save time and improve control over endpoints.
Cons: ManageEngine Endpoint Central can feel complex at first because of its many features and settings. The user interface may seem slow or cluttered in large environments, and some advanced configurations need technical knowledge. Patch deployment may occasionally fail and require manual checks, and reporting customization is limited for some needs.
Overall: ManageEngine Endpoint Central is a reliable and useful tool for endpoint management that offers strong automation, security, and remote support features. While it may take some time to learn and fine-tune, the benefits like centralized control, reduced manual work, and improved system security clearly outweigh the drawbacks. It is a good value solution, especially for organizations looking for an affordable and feature-rich endpoint management platform.

"So much better than KACE" Posted 2021-09-30
Pros: Automated, self service portal, integration with servicedesk, managed installs are very easy to set up, very easy to use for both techs and users, patch management is on point and constantly updated, AD sync and automatic agent installation is great, OS imaging and migration are also very easy to set up and use. Mobile device management is also a great addition if you have lots of corporate mobile devices to deal with.
Cons: Has to be restarted weekly for the web portal to keep working for techs, secure gateway server is considered an 'add-on' for an extra one time price, should be included in my opinion.
Overall: Very easy to use, support is quick to help and available 24/7, overall great solution for 1k+ endpoints.

"Was great, but they messed it up" Posted 2020-10-13
Pros: Simple, easy to use and configure. Great self-service section - when it works. Easy for deploying software and current asset management.
Cons: Developers destroyed it with so many bugs and problems. Asset management doesn't retain a history of assets (even decommissioned ones) without paying extra per asset.
Overall: It's an expensive piece of software that doesn't work properly because the developers have written poor code.
