Consumers in CEE want to live healthier and longer, stress less, and sleep better. And they are acting on these goals everywhere, including shops. Our CEE edition of the Voice of the Consumer 2026 revealed that 96% of consumers in CEE have a health and wellness goal. But also, 96% face barriers like stress, time constraints, difficulty staying motivated, limited disposable income. 79% use health apps or wearables for at least one wellness activity. 47% use AI when they first have a health question. What a great few days in Warsaw at our PwC CEE Annual Partner Meeting. It was inspiring to discuss the future of Central & Eastern Europe with clients, colleagues and friends from across the region and our global network. For me, three themes stood out: strong local market focus, technology and AI as key enablers of transformation, and the personal responsibility each of us has to turn strategy into action. As Managing Partner in Slovakia, I believe transformation happens market by market, client by client, team by team. The opportunities ahead are significant, and capturing them will require clarity, collaboration, and accountability from all of us.
