Aftab Mathur ha compartido estoAftab Mathur ha compartido estoGrateful is an understatement. This milestone belongs to our customers, our partners, and a team that shows up every single day with relentless dedication. You made this possible. But we're not stopping to celebrate for long because our customers aren't slowing down. The pace at which enterprises must enable AI today is unlike anything we've seen. The pressure is real. The stakes are high. And Cyera is accelerating alongside them, building the infrastructure this transformation demands. Every leading enterprise adopting AI faces the same existential question: How do we move fast without losing control? What can AI see? What can it do? That's the problem we exist to solve. Cyera is becoming the AI Trust layer, the foundation enterprises need to unlock AI's full promise, safely and at scale. We're humbled to be building it hand in hand with the world's most forward-thinking companies. This round is fuel. The mission is clear. We’ve long believed venture debt is an important part of the innovation ecosystem. Today, its role is only becoming more significant as founders and companies seek more flexible financing solutions to complement traditional equity capital. Temasek’s partnership reflects a shared conviction that thoughtfully structured, minimally dilutive capital can be a powerful tool for scaling businesses with compelling growth trajectories — particularly in dynamic and rapidly evolving markets. Aftab Mathur ha compartido estoAftab Mathur ha compartido estoTIME just named Circ® to this year’s TIME100 Most Influential Companies list. It’s a meaningful moment for the team and the partners who have been building with us. Textile-to-textile recycling is moving from concept into real-world deployment, and that shift matters beyond sustainability. It’s about how materials are sourced, how supply chains are built, and how this industry moves forward. Getting there takes alignment across brands, manufacturing, capital, and policy. And the discipline to actually build it. That’s what we’ve been focused on. Grateful to the team, our partners, and those who have backed us. A lot more ahead. Onward.

Aftab Mathur ha compartido estoAftab Mathur ha compartido estoOctopus Energy Generation is backing Living Carbon with $500M to reforest degraded land and remove CO₂ across North America. This major project financing comes with an additional $13M investment in our carbon business. Read more about this huge milestone in today’s WSJ (link in the comments). Living Carbon is putting low quality land back to work. Our innovative reforestation turns low quality land into thriving forests faster to remove carbon or produce sustainable forest products. We recently signed major carbon offtake agreements with Symbiosis Coalition members Google, Meta, and McKinsey & Company. This funding allows us to plant 10x more, growing to 250,000 acres across America. The opportunity is huge. There are over 130 million acres of degraded land in the U.S. that can be reforested. With last month being the hottest March on record in the U.S., 9.4°F above the 20th-century average, scaling climate solutions is more urgent than ever. With this investment, our carbon business is now fully funded. Getting our carbon business to self-sustaining growth now means we can expand into new markets and products. I'm incredibly proud of our team, whose hard work and dedication enabled this milestone and drives progress on this ambitous mission. We unpacked the ‘excitement factor’ around AI and opportunities in the global South, and had a fascinating discussion on shifting talent patterns – with talent increasingly dispersing across global geographies post-pandemic – and how this is driving more investment into different regions. We also looked at the importance of connecting East and West, and why Qatar is so well placed to do so. Doha has already attracted global firms and startups, including through QIA’s Fund of Funds program, and the continued focus on democratizing access to AI, including new compute capacity, has the potential to be a meaningful differentiator in attracting talent and accelerating ecosystem development in the region. Thank you to my fellow panellists for a thoughtful discussion, and to Web Summit Qatar for convening an important conversation. Aftab Mathur ha recomendado estoAftab Mathur ha recomendado estoJust wrapped a productive series of media conversations in Paris around the launch of #TemasekReview2026 and to reaffirm why Europe matters to Temasek. Europe is our second-largest destination for capital outside Singapore, with France being the largest within the region. Since 2024, we have deployed close to €13 billion, and we are well on track towards our €14–17 billion commitment through to 2029. Our underlying exposure to EMEA stands at ~€43 billion. Our approach is disciplined and long-term. We focus on sectors where Europe leads — core-plus Infrastructure platforms, iconic consumer and luxury brands with global reach, digitisation and automation of industrial supply chains, financial infrastructure and services, and defence. In each, we look for category leaders that can compete well beyond their home markets. What often sets us apart is the way we partner. Much of Europe’s economy is shaped by families and founders who are looking not just for capital, but for a like-minded partner with a long-term horizon. That is a role we are built to play. We are comfortable taking minority positions and working alongside management teams and owners over the long term, helping their businesses transform and scale into new markets, including Asia. The environment remains complex. But for a patient investor, complexity often surfaces opportunity. We will keep leaning in with conviction and discipline to construct a resilient portfolio that can perform through shocks. Aftab Mathur ha recomendado estoAftab Mathur ha recomendado estoWanted to take a moment to thank someone who gave Skyroot Aerospace its first lift-off—Mukesh Bansal. 8 Years ago, we sent him a cold LinkedIn message. He replied. We met that very weekend. Soon after, he became Skyroot’s first investor with a ₹10 crore cheque. At the time, there was no space policy. No proof that we could build an orbital rocket. Immense technology risk. And every reason to say no. Yet he looked beyond the uncertainty. He believed in our passion and saw possibility long before there was evidence. But what stayed with me even more than the investment was the trust. He gave us complete freedom to build, trusted us to make the right decisions, and was always there to mentor us whenever we needed him. More than capital, he helped shape our thinking with one piece of advice: “Always do the right thing. This journey will be much longer and much harder than you imagine. Build two things with equal importance: the product and the organisation.” This has guided us through every phase of the journey and continue to shape how we build Skyroot today. The first cheque is never just capital. It is belief. Every great startup needs someone willing to take that first leap of faith—when all they can really invest in is the founders’ conviction. India needs many more such risk-takers backing ambitious deep-tech entrepreneurs long before success becomes obvious. Thank you, Mukesh. 🙏 P.S. This picture was taken during one of Mukesh’s visits to our factory in Skyroot’s early days. We were showing him just how light Vikram-S’s carbon composite structures were—a small moment from a journey that has since come a long way. 🚀

Aftab Mathur ha recomendado estoOne of the more exciting shifts I've seen over the past few years is how global investors now view Southeast Asia's deep tech ecosystem. Historically, deep tech founders in the region faced two challenges: limited specialist capital and skepticism around whether globally significant technology companies could emerge from Southeast Asia. Both assumptions are rapidly changing. And these details are well outlined in DealStreet Asia's fifth annual report on Deep Tech in SEA. As always, lovely to chat with Andi Haswidi and Deandra Syarizka about all things deep-tech in SEA. Great 'Trendspotting' in this report on how capital is clustering around sectors with clear technical moats and commercial urgency. The segment accounted for 23.6% of total venture-backed deal volume in 2025, up from 18.5% in 2024. While the number of deep tech deals slipped from 117 in 2024 to 109 last year, funding value rose 19% to nearly $1 billion. Saket will take the helm as CEO and lead the brand into its next phase of growth. Born in Singapore, bback first gained recognition for its alcohol-recovery products. Today, it is available at more than 400 retail locations, including Guardian and Watsons, and has expanded into hydration and liver wellness. Under its new ownership, bback will broaden its focus to exercise, travel, fatigue, and everyday recovery while expanding across Asia. SparkLabs Taiwan was among EVO Commerce’s earliest institutional investors and continued to support the team through some of its most challenging periods. Xora Innovation has led Hang Ten Systems’ additional $53M Seed-2 funding round, bringing the company’s total funding to $85M. We’re proud to invest alongside Navin Chaddha at Mayfield, Aramco Ventures, Lip-Bu Tan, Sanjay Mehrotra, and others — and to welcome Jerry Yang to the board. We believe the gap between enterprises that use AI to real advantage and those that do not will increasingly define entire industries. As access to leading models becomes more widespread, the hard part is making AI work in the systems and workflows that actually run an enterprise: connecting models and agents to proprietary data and systems of record, rebuilding applications and workflows around their capabilities, and putting the security, controls, evaluation, and reliability required for production use in place. This is difficult because enterprise technology rarely operates in a greenfield environment. Most organizations have deeply interconnected estates of packaged software, custom applications, legacy systems, integrations, and business processes built up over decades. Capturing the full value of AI therefore requires changing not only that software, but also how it is built, modified, and operated. But AI is also changing the economics of transforming that estate. Hang Ten is built around this shift, with a delivery model fundamentally different from traditional, headcount-heavy enterprise services. The company combines agentic code generation and reusable AI skills with small teams of engineers who bring deep domain expertise — enabling them to move faster and deliver 10× more value on existing software development and transformation programs. The early traction is strong. Within weeks of founding, Hang Ten signed multiple engagements with global enterprises, with projects already in production and several successfully completed. We’re backing Vishal Sikka because he is one of the rare leaders who combines deep technical understanding of enterprise software and AI with firsthand experience navigating the organizational and operating complexity of transformation at scale. He has spent his career doing exactly that — from serving as SAP’s first CTO and leading the development of SAP HANA to serving as CEO of Infosys. Vishal and the Hang Ten team are now applying that experience to build a fundamentally different model for the global technology services industry. We’re excited to deepen our partnership with Vishal, Navin Budhiraja, Sanjay Rajagopalan, Tao Liu, Frank Yu, Yusuf Safdari, Pradeep K Panicker and the entire Hang Ten Systems team as they build what we believe can become a defining company in enterprise technology services. Check out what the team is building in this TechCrunch exclusive (link in first comment).

Healthcare is decades behind other sectors in tech adoption, and at HealthQuad we see 2026 as a year of inflection - not just for investments, but for building the innovation stack that will define Asia’s next generation of healthcare leaders. Some themes we are excited about: 𝟭] 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮’𝘀 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 India will move from ‘digital health adoption’ to interoperability at scale. There will be meaningful adoption of ABHA, registries for facilities (HFR) and professionals (HPR). Eventually leading to longitudinal care journeys, smoother claims and underwriting. 𝟮] 𝗔𝗜 𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 AI agents will move from “assistive” tools to semi-autonomous healthcare workers, subtly reshaping care delivery. Agents will execute end-to-end administrative and clinical workflows: appointments, insurance pre-authorizations, risk flagging, and care coordination with minimal human intervention. 𝟯] 𝗚𝗟𝗣-𝟭 𝘄𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 Demand will not be purely price-elastic; efficacy will matter as much as affordability for both patients and prescribers. Indian generics will gear up for the next chapter post patent expiry. 2026 will see emergence of several GLP-1 companion companies scale, tailored to Indian physiology. 𝟰] 𝗞𝗶𝗱𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲; 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝘁 Pediatric neurodivergence impacts 10-15% of children and behavioral health will be a breakout theme.
