I ordered two bags of Cotswold chippings. A couple of days before delivery was due I received an email that they would be delayed four or five working days. As we're still in the grip of Covid, I just accepted the situation. The goods didn't arrive in that timescale, although tracking said they'd arrived at the local delivery depot. I tried calling customer services but couldn't get through. I started looking at the Trustpilot reviews and started to get alarmed that, almost without fail, all recent reviews were very negative. Had I made a big mistake? I called customer service yesterday and spoke to a helpful gentlemen who went to check on the situation, unfortunately the line dropped out. I called back later and the lady I spoke to was also very helpful. She told me that the gentleman has updated my record, but they were still waiting on a call back from the depot. Later in the afternoon she called me back to say I would receive my chippings today. 1:30 today, they were delivered. The only fault I could find is communication could, perhaps, have been a little better.

I'm pleased to see that ratings are on the way back up. I assume the company just hit a small bump in the road and have got back on track.

My existing armchair was in a poor state and not doing my back any favours. The options were re-upholstery or a new chair. We got a price for refurbishing the chair; when we got our breath back, we decided to look at options for new.

We decided that we ought to go for quality and a more "custom" fit. HSL's Birmingham showroom is a short walk from home, so we decided to drop in and see what we could do.

We were met, at the door, by Jan. We told Jan what we were looking for and she explained the HSL way of doing things and then led us to one of the displays to go through the process of assessing my seating needs and recommending the right chair for me. Once we'd determined that, Jan led us on a tour of the different styles available, taking ample time to try the varying options. Jan was attentive, patient, very informative and knew her stuff. We spent more than an hour with her before leaving to consider what to do.

During the entire period we were there one of Jan's colleagues appeared to be providing a similar experience to another family. I should also mention that Covid precautions were well-adhered to.

A week later (mid-May) we were back at the showroom to go ahead with a purchase. On this occasion we were greeted by Karl. I wanted to try my chosen chair again but it was gone! Fortunately it was in the back, waiting to go on a van. Karl and his colleague happily went to bring it back for me to try again. We concluded the sale with Karl, who was every bit as professional and pleasant to deal with as Jan had been.

Last week my new chair was delivered and assembled by two very pleasant young men and my back is already thanking HSL :-)

Nice and simple process to get short term insurance for a car.

Very useful for trips abroad. Cheaper than exchanging cash or using a credit card. Easy to top up online.

Booked for a time to suit myself. Arrived on time and did the job (one tyre replacement) within quarter of an hour. Price was good too!
