Ahmad Abdo shared thisEvery few years, a shift quietly reshapes how brands connect with people. Websites did it. Apps did it. Social did it. Now AI is quietly becoming the next one. Not as technology, but as a presence. This article showed that customers can connect emotionally with an #AI. Because people don’t form bonds with technology. They form bonds with identity. And this intersection between #brand and technology is where the next wave of customer experience will be defined. That’s the promise of branded intelligence: an intelligent presence that listens, guides, and represents the brand in real time. With #Sama, we’re exploring how travelers can experience #QatarAirways through conversation, not just interfaces. It’s early, but it’s clear. AI won’t replace the human touch. It will extend it with a presence that feels alive. And we’re only beginning to see what’s possible.People Have A Crush On This Airline’s AI-Flight AttendantPeople Have A Crush On This Airline’s AI-Flight Attendant

Ahmad Abdo shared thisProud to see Sama, our digital human, and the world’s first in the airline industry, featured at Unreal Engine Fest as part of the latest MetaHuman release. For us, Sama isn’t just another chatbot. She’s redefining what digital experience means: anticipating needs, guiding conversations, and making booking effortless. It’s a new approach to UX/UI, a new way to build brands, and a glimpse into what the digital age can truly offer. Ahmad Abdo shared thisWhen we set out to shape the digital brand experience at Qatar Airways, we didn’t just want to add another feature to the journey. We wanted to transform how people feel when they interact with our brand. Sama, the world’s first AI cabin crew, wasn’t built to answer questions. She was created to redefine how an airline connects with its customers across digital touchpoints. To turn every interaction into a conversation that feels intuitive, personal, and human. From helping passengers plan and book their journeys, to engaging daily on Instagram as @SamaOnTheMove, and now appearing on CNN she’s becoming a true extension of our brand. This moment is more than recognition. It’s a reflection of what happens when technology meets storytelling. Curious what she can do? Ahmad Abdo reposted thisAhmad Abdo reposted thisQatar Airways shared a glimpse of its "conversational AI" booking system, powered by Sama, their virtual flight attendant. Is this the future or travel tech? Lots of airlines have been racing ahead to showcase innovations that improve #paxex. AI agents are all the rage these days and it's great to see an airline taking the plunge. At the #WebSummit this week, Qatar Airways demonstrated the possibilities. I like what I see, and there's so much more scope for conversational booking to enhance travel. What do you think? Is this the future? Nice work Babar Rahman Ahmad Abdo and teams. #futureoftravel

Ahmad Abdo liked thisAhmad Abdo liked this"How did you become a billionaire?" I get asked this a lot. People expect the answer to be about intelligence or a technical insight nobody else had. It wasn't that. I know plenty of people smarter than me. PhDs. Engineers who can build anything. Most of them aren't as wealthy as they should be, and the reason isn't talent. It's because they don't ship. They sit on the idea, refine it and wait for a version that's 'good enough' to show someone. Meanwhile, someone with a rough version puts it out into the world, gets feedback, and iterates past them. The old excuse for not starting was technical ability. You needed to code, or find someone who could. That excuse is gone. Open Replit, describe the idea, iterate on what comes back. Then go sell it. And you don't need to go looking for the opportunity. You already have one. A nurse understands healthcare better than any engineer in Silicon Valley. A truck driver knows logistics. If you've spent ten years in real estate, or fitness, or restaurants, you know where the money is. That's your edge. AI is just the tool you point at it. There will be more millionaires and billionaires created in the next 5 years than in all of human history. It won't be the smartest people. It'll be the ones who shipped.

Ahmad Abdo liked thisFor almeera, transformation starts with the customer experience. Digital gives us another way to deliver convenience and value to our customers. And this week, we’re giving customers another reason to experience it. From 24–30 September, customers can enjoy 10% off their online shopping through the almeera app and website, as we continue encouraging more families across Qatar to discover a more convenient way to shop with us.Ahmad Abdo liked thisFor most of our history, serving our customers meant welcoming them through the doors of our stores. Today, it means being available wherever and whenever our customers choose to shop. Since launching our digital platform earlier this year, it has become part of the weekly routine for more and more families across Qatar, growing with every order. The same trust customers have placed in our stores for decades should be reflected in every interaction they have with almeera. This week, we continue building on that journey, giving our customers greater choice in how they shop with almeera.

Ahmad Abdo liked thisAhmad Abdo liked thisI have to admit, I felt for Tilly Norwood here 😂 (in case you haven't seen it yet: https://lnkd.in/eJE32DsD). Real-time AI interaction is hard. Eline Van Der Velden and the team at Particle6 are getting a very public introduction to some of the problems we’ve spent years obsessing over at UneeQ. And the language switch might be the funniest part of the clip, but it’s far from the only challenge: • Conversation is more than lip sync; they lacked any contextual body language, personality, or even emotion. Just creepy. • Latency/delays in speaking are uncanny, unnatural, and annoying. • Speech recognition needs to detect accents and optimize; otherwise, people are constantly being misunderstood. • Conversational design requires so much more than just prompt engineering. It requires in-depth guardrails, personality, memory, goals, and context considerations and instructions. • Speaking a different language is a great AI feature, but only useful if those you are interacting with actually understand that language 😂 Really, though, I do love seeing more teams experiment with real-time AI characters because moments like this show how much engineering and design goes into making an AI interaction actually feel human. Eline, welcome to the fun part. 😊 If anyone wants to compare notes with Tilly, come have a conversation with one of ours: digitalhumans.com

Ahmad Abdo liked thisOne of the things I’ve enjoyed most since joining almeera is the opportunity to build. There is still a lot to do, and that is exactly what makes this an exciting time to join. We’re looking for people who want to bring ideas, challenge how things are done and help shape what comes next.Ahmad Abdo liked thisalmeera is in the middle of an important transformation. The foundations are set in place, the direction is clear, and the work of building is fully underway. What we decide and build today will shape the company for years to come. We are looking for talents who see it the same way and share this ambition. Talented individuals from retail and beyond, across technology, data, customer experience, and operations. Talents who would rather build something meaningful than simply maintain something that already exists. We are not simply looking to fill roles. We are looking for people who want to be part of the journey and leave their mark on what almeera becomes. Transformation is demanding work. It is also the kind of work people remember being part of.

Riyadh Air is ready to push $20 billion into the economy with this change. 2.7 million passengers flew between Riyadh and Cairo last year, making it one of the busiest capital-to-capital routes in the world. And now Riyadh Air | طيران الرياض is connecting the dots. Cairo joins London and Dubai as Riyadh Air's initial launch routes, with full commercial operations set to begin by April 2026. And for those of us in business, this matters more than just adding another airline to the market. Connecting the three largest economies in the region KSA, UAE, and Egypt with a premium carrier changes a lot of things for executives. Daily service will operate on state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, and most importantly Riyadh Air is expected to add $20 billion to non-oil GDP growth and create more than 200,000 direct and indirect jobs. But beyond the numbers, there's a shift happening in how regional business travel works. Right now, executives flying between Riyadh, Dubai, and Cairo often deal with fragmented experiences. - Different carriers. - Different service standards. - Inconsistent ground handling. And Riyadh Air, with this change, is trying to solve that by offering premium, consistent services across all three routes. At Blacklane, we're already preparing for this. When a new premium airline enters the market with a focus on seamless travel, ground transportation needs to match that standard because the executive who experiences world-class service at 35,000 feet expects the same level when they land. For premium mobility providers, this creates opportunity. More flights mean more executives landing in Riyadh who need reliable, high-quality ground transportation. The volume is growing, and the expectations are rising. The regional aviation landscape is shifting and companies that adapt to this new connectivity will benefit most.

Flyadeal Airline-REDEFINE BUDGET TRAVEL. As of late 2025, flyadeal, the low-cost subsidiary of the Saudia Group, has transformed from a domestic startup into a global aviation leader. In 2025, it achieved a historic milestone by being ranked the most punctual airline in the world, proving that "budget" does not have to mean "unreliable." Here is how flyadeal is redefining the budget travel experience for 2026: 1. The "World's Most Punctual" LCC In a sector where delays are often expected, flyadeal shocked the industry in 2025 by achieving an On-Time Performance (OTP) of 91.77%. Data-Driven Precision: The airline uses a state-of-the-art Integrated Operations Control Centre (IOCC) that monitors every flight in real-time using predictive analytics to stay ahead of weather and technical delays. The "Moat" Strategy: By basing aircraft permanently in key cities like Madinah (its fourth base, launched January 1, 2026), the airline ensures better schedule integrity for pilgrims and business travelers. ✈️ 2. Redefining the "Low-Cost Contract" The airline is shifting away from the rigid, "no-frills" model to one based on transparency and flexibility: 7kg Free Carry-on: In December 2025, flyadeal introduced a free 7kg cabin baggage allowance even on its most basic "fly" fare, responding directly to passenger feedback. Fare Bundles (fly, fly+, flyMax): * flyMax: Offers unlimited free changes and full refunds on cancellations up to three days before departure—a rarity in the budget sector. Stress-Free Changes: Even basic fares now allow free date changes within two hours of booking to help with accidental errors. 🌍 3. The 2026 India & International Expansion The biggest news for 2026 is flyadeal’s aggressive move into the Indian subcontinent: New Routes: Starting in Q1 2026, flyadeal will launch direct flights to Mumbai and Delhi, with plans to connect up to six Indian cities by the end of the year. Widebody Ambitions: To support longer flights (up to 13 hours), the airline is inducting Airbus A330neo aircraft. These will feature a small premium cabin and enhanced inflight connectivity (IFC), allowing budget travelers to stay connected over the ocean. South Asia Hub: Following its 2025 launch into Pakistan (Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore), the airline is positioning itself as the primary low-cost bridge for the millions of expatriates and pilgrims moving between India and the GCC. 4. Enabling "Vision 2030" flyadeal is the "mass transit" engine for Saudi Arabia’s tourism goals: Visa Integration: The airline has synchronized its schedule with the new, liberal Saudi "Holiday Visas," making it easier for Umrah pilgrims to extend their stay and visit leisure sites like AlUla or the Red Sea. AlFursan Loyalty: In 2025, flyadeal joined the AlFursan loyalty program, allowing budget travelers to earn and redeem miles across both flyadeal and the full-service Saudia Airlines. #Flyadeal #BudgetTravel #AffordableFlights #RedefineTravel #Airlines

Air Arabia stands as a strong example of how a low-cost airline can scale successfully while maintaining efficiency and reliability. With a modern Airbus fleet and an extensive network across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe, Air Arabia has made air travel more accessible to millions. A great case study in smart operations, cost discipline, and regional connectivity. ⸻ #AirArabia #LowCostCarrier #MiddleEastAviation #AviationIndustry #AirlineOperations #AvGeek #AviationCareers #GroundStaff
