We started as a small web design shop in 2000 and pivoted into building our own products in 2005, after Cem Başpınar joined.
We tried a lot of things. Some worked, most didn't. But three projects stood out:

Hello, we're pilli, a 26-year-old web company hailing from Istanbul.
pillinetwork
A group of 11 community blogs: hafif.org, bildirgec.org, 10marifet.org among them. We shared 70% of ad revenue with contributors. (Let the record show: this was Spotify's business model applied to blog posts realized in 2006.) Over 300,000 articles published.
Sosyomat
A social network built around tagging people — could be considered the Turkish Tumblr. It grew to 400,000 users and sparked plenty of connections, arguments, and even a few babies.

Our third big project and the only one still alive. :)
