Trouble with DDG is that it trades privacy or at least the perception of privacy for relevant results. I tried DDG several times and always ended up disappointed in the search results with it. I would typically use Google search anyway to get better results. I mean if a search engine cannot provide good results, all the privacy focus means nothing.

I really really wanted to keep this browser as my default on my iphone but by god it is so incredibly slow. 90’s dial up slow. Which is such a shame because I like the ethos behind it - no tracking, no ai answers by default without having to enter “-ai” at the end of your search like other browsers. I can put up with the limited search results by improving my search words, but the slow loading times are too frustrating. I gave it a solid 3 weeks on my phone and laptop (unless you have the DDG browser open by default on startup, opening a new window is a known problem in that it doesn’t open a new window easily) but am sadly giving up.

Datenschutz mag vorbildlich sein. Aber die Suchmaschine scheint bei kleineren Orten -bspw. in den Alpen- Schülerniveau zu haben. Alles bestes Ergebnis kommt in der Regel die unerträglich2 Booking.com-Werbung. Dann liebe google mit VPN... .

Kunne ikke finde ud af at slå det fra i Safari, så skiftede browser til ddg. Man skal lige vende sig til at man ikke længere får serveret svaret af AI men sådan har det jo været hidtil, at man selv skulle bruge lidt tid på at læse forslagene igennem.

I sadly use Drivesafe.com a lot and until recently I had a very wierd problem where every time I had to log in on a engine but thanks to the fire button I can delete all data on all websites so the search is finally over

Currently, the experience has impressed me. I just wish the UI and UX design could be more integrated on windows. Love this browser though!

Used for 3 months, and I really like that it hides my personal information.Still, the search quality only in average. The AI also doesn't work that well, which is a let down.

Some safe websites won’t open all the time using duckduckgo such as Facebook for just one example. I can open Facebook and other sites easily with Chrome. I have deleted history and cleared cash to no avail. I’m seriously thinking of going completly back to Chrome and removing DuckduckGo from my devices.

It is the worst stick with GPTchat or Google because this artificial intelligence is stupid, you basically are giving them the answers in order for you to get an answer. It's a complete waste of time it barely reads anything you might upload as far as from your photo files unlike chat TPT and Google they read it automatically and give you suggestions this Duck Duck Go AI gives you nothing tells you they can't read it can't see it don't understand it I uploaded a coin and it told me it was a nickel it was actually a half dollar

I down loaded 'Duckduckgo' to minimize pop-up's from previous searches. I now get more pop-up's than before. Within minutes I get pop-up's from the site I just left. Talk about a bait and switch scam, good thing I didn't pay any money for this joke of a program.

Their Private AI chat tool is a bit werid of prying eyes watching me saying stuff to their Duckduckgo Ai.

I love Duckduckgo, i have some gripes with the website, even the Ai too functionally from they advertised on their youtube ads program.

All in all bad: öffnet superlangsam, was die Hauptsache der Einschränkungen ausmacht. Ich schmeiß den jetzt runter als Zeizdieb!

up until recently, I had duckduckgo on a url that I bookmarked. everything was fine & dandy. when I decided to do the browser & make it the default, ddg went from Dr Jekyll to Mr Hyde. everytime wanted to search anything, 2 pop-ups about ddg as a default search engine came up in the right corner of the screen even though I already had it as the default engine. it now wanted me to make it my home page. then it keeps popping up all these little hints that I neither need or want. there is no way to contact them listed except for a mailing address. duckduckgo has become such a pain in the behind that I deleted it totally. duckduckgo obviously doesn't think much of we the people. if lots of people delete duckduckgo, maybe duckduckgo will develop some respect. a lot of other companies want people to make them their home page. I don't like that. it isn't necessary & if I don't want to make it my home page, i don't want it to be my home page & I won't have them hassling me about it. well, duckduckgo just lost one user. I hope other people start cancelling them out. there are other free ad blockers & trackers out there, people! join me!

Ce moteur de recherche n'est pas très performant , son atout majeur est l'absence de l'AI mais çà ne suffit pas. L'utilisation n'est pas facile, rien que des propositions sur le sujet .La fenêtre s'ouvre d'elle même à n'importe quel moment quand on utilise le pc ET difficile de s'en défaire. Pas intéressant pour deux sous.

DuckDuckGo never answers a question and just brings up loads of irrelevant articles. A search engine needs to answer straightforward questions. Unfortunately very limited as a search engine.

Search engine has much improved over the year, now often shows far more relevant results then the main competitor. Privacy seems to be a far bigger benefit as well. While the website works well the desktop browser application could use some improvement.

The website is great, but dear God, do not trust the browser…it’s not about security, because they’ve got that covered….it’s about the _stability_, and this browser has very little of it. Tabs crash constantly, so if you need to switch between them, you’ll lose data or worse. I’ve been trying to use it to curate stories into a CMS, and have lost more time and effort thanks to this lousy bug than I care to admit. Please, developers, do something about this…I can get my work done in any browser but the one I really want to use!
