It’s fine, the actual lessons are pretty limited. If you are starting at zero you made need to find ways to supplement. Teachers are hit and miss but you eventually find some that you mesh well with.

Heard about Baselang from a coworker. It truly is on-demand, unlimited, with your choice of lots of structure or no structure and just conversation. Ive now met with 30 different teachers and have my favorites but honestly everyone is great. Best money I've ever spent in pursuit of fluency.

Baselang keeps my language learning process on track. The lessons can be done alone or with any of the teachers and both are excellent - teachers and lessons. The number of teachers is impressive and very motivating. I found my perfect teacher and fit my zoom classes around my busy life. Most importantly, my confidence has grown. I now know I can have a reasonable conversation instead of just guessing or hoping. It also shows me how much more I have to learn!

I wish I would have found this school a long time ago. I wasted my time on apps and group classes - I've learned more with BaseLang in the past month than I learned using other methods in over a year!

The instructors are fantastic. They come from all walks of life, but all have one thing in common. They are passionate about interacting with people and teaching Spanish. I love the live format and the flexibility to choose whether to simply practice conversation with the instructor or to do structured lessons at each session. I also really enjoy the flexibility for scheduling classes.

It’s been an easy and lovely experience! Easy from a platform standpoint that is. I’m glad I had the time this summer to really try lessons with multiple people. That convenience has allowed me to know who I like now that life is busy again. Overall, I would recommend the platform to others!

Baselang has completely transformed the way I learn Spanish. After trying apps, textbooks, and traditional classes, nothing came close to the progress I made here. The structure is clear, the curriculum is thorough, and the unlimited 1‑on‑1 lessons make it impossible not to improve. I went from beginner to confidently holding conversations in a matter of weeks. The teachers are patient, skilled, and genuinely invested in your success. If you’re serious about learning Spanish fast — and actually retaining it — Baselang is hands down the best investment you can make.

I have been using BaseLang for just over a month now and I absolutely love it. The customer services team are always so helpful and the fact you get to choose your teachers makes a huge difference. I feel I have made more progress with my Spanish in a month than I had in years trying to learn it by myself.

I did find some teachers I really liked on the platform but they were always booked up and then the other teacher's quality varied a lot. I think more observations are needed and teacher training. The curriculum is not engaging and tedious to use on your own time. Need a lot more corrections which many teachers failed to give.

I have used Baselang for two weeks, not very long. I have studied Spanish for several years. and at almost 83, I am just trying to improve my understanding and my ability to speak. I have spoken with Spanish speakers off and on in my journey so when I tell you that I am stunned, speechless. (well, not really), amazed that I have really improved in both in just two weeks. I have used about 2o teachers and all but a few are fabulous; kind, patient, helpful and fun/interesting to talk with. The very few who weren't were not bad; I just did not connect with them, not a surprise for an anciana. Thank you for what you do, I am truly impressed and grateful!

I think the introduction of the tip jar or 'gift money' is a clear indication of what further research characterizes as a failing 'gym membership' business model. Student-customers should not have to subsidize what BaseLang is responsible for paying as a business; it should not be treated as a gig-economy job. Without a low-wage country like Venezuela, BaseLang would not even exist at their $2.00 per hour slave-labor wage. While these teachers are nice at heart, many of them lack enthusiasm or personality, and there is an extreme lack of options to choose from—sometimes there is no one available at all. Everyone should know that the $1,200 'Grammarless' or 'BootCamp' packages are just a scam designed to inject immediate cash, hopefully capturing the New Year's rush and beyond. It is the exact same program for more money, which makes absolutely no sense. The best thing that ever happened to BaseLang was its failure to secure seed capital; venture money would have made no sense and would have merely propped up a mathematically flawed concept. I have not read the platform guidelines regarding review rules. Here are mine: I am an attorney with a First Amendment right, at least in the United States.

For a long time I’ve been looking for a flexible way to learn Spanish, having great teachers and a structured curriculum with plenty of study resources.

I’m glad to have found this site and how affordable it is! $179/month, when I’ve seen those prices for ONLY private classes in a week.

I’ve been using BaseLang for the past several weeks and have loved the teachers I learn alongside and the plethora of content available, highly recommended to anyone 5/5 ⭐️ s. They have a week trial for $1, and it’s been amazing since.

From the YouTube videos, to the flashcards, with enough dedication anyone should be fluent in Spanish by year end- and that’s my hope. Wish me luck and you if you try it!
