We had such an incredible day with Alberto from Portugal Safaris. I shared my ideas for an ideal tour, and he created a completely personalised experience that combined the coast, countryside, culture and nature.
We started at Praia de Marinha at sunrise, absolutely breathtaking, before exploring hidden spots in the countryside, including a beautiful waterfall we would never have found without him.

What really stood out was Alberto’s genuine connection to the Algarve. He shared fascinating knowledge about the local landscape, wildlife, trees, flowers and wild herbs, making the experience feel authentic and far beyond a typical tourist tour.

The delicious picnic he prepared was also such a lovely touch. We visited a traditional tile factory, an old olive oil plant and a beautiful historic town with a castle and local market.

I would highly recommend Alberto if you want a customised, authentic and unforgettable experience of the Algarve.

Fantastic evening with Alberto , we loved his energy and this unique Jeep safari tour . The sunset was stunning !

Een fantastische jeepsafari in het achterland van de Algarve met een gids die werkelijk alles van de natuur wist te vertellen, en dat met zoveel enthousiasme deed dat je er zelf ook heel blij van werd. We hebben in de bergen gereden, de watervallen gezien, uitleg gekregen in een fabriek waar de Santa Catharina tegels met de hand worden gemaakt. En als klap op de vuurpijl heeft hij verschillende pizza’s voor ons gemaakt. Wat een leuke dag!!! Echt een aanrader ❤️

Wir waren Karfreitag von 13:30 Uhr auf einer 2 stündigen Tour mit Alberto verabredet, wobei wir insgesamt sogar gut 2,5 Stunden unterwegs waren. Er ist in der Algarven-Region beheimatet und aufgewachsen und hat uns etwas über die heimische Kultur sowie hauptsächlich über die heimischen Bäume und Pflanzen nähergebracht. Er spricht gutes Englisch. Es war sehr informativ. Wir haben mehrere Zwischenstopps eingelegt und haben auch verschiedene Tiere gesehen und gefüttert/ gestreichelt. Unsere beiden Kinder sind 8 und 11 Jahre alt. Ihnen hat es auch sehr gut gefallen. Die Streckenführung ist sehr unterschiedlich, hauptsächlich abenteuerliche, unbefestigte Wald- und Wiesenwege. Das hat wirklich Spaß gemacht, da wir auf der offenen, hinteren Fläche des Jeeps angeschnallt saßen. Man sollte an ausreichenden Sonnenschutz achten. Wir können für uns sagen, dass uns die 2-stündige Tour alles in allem sehr gut gefallen hat.
Tour-Botschaft: Man sollte die Natur wieder mehr respektieren. Sie bietet einem alles, was man zum Leben benötigt.

Superbe expérience ! Alberto est un passionné et il aime transmettre ses connaissances. Les paysages sont magnifiques et les étapes qu'ils nous avaient prévues étaient vraiment adaptées à nos envies. Notre fils de 4 ans a adoré et nous aussi !!! Merci beaucoup pour ce moment inoubliable !

Amazing experience from the start and throughout. Alberto taught us about so many of Portugals hidden gems from mountain tops, waterfalls and all the nature on the journey. He talked us through every step of the tour explaining how things were formed/grown and why. We stopped off at a clay factory where he explained and showed us every step of how people in the village create clay tiles and roof tiles. It was amazing and we couldn’t thank him enough for giving us a tour of all the hidden gems and spots Portugal has to offer. We couldn’t recommend this tour enough 😊😊

We took part in the buggy tour and were absolutely thrilled! The owner, who was also our guide, is incredibly friendly and truly passionate about what he does. You can immediately tell that he loves sharing this experience – it’s not just a job for him, it’s something he genuinely enjoys.

The tour itself was perfectly organized: well-planned, varied, and filled with great stops. Everything was clearly explained, and we always felt safe and well taken care of.

What really impressed us was that he even suggested starting the tour a bit later so we could catch the sunset — and it made the whole experience even more special!

You can really feel the passion and dedication behind everything he does – from the warm welcome at the beginning to the very end of the tour, everything was simply perfect.
We’d definitely do it again and can wholeheartedly recommend this buggy tour! 🚙🌅💨

Alberto is very knowledgeable and we went to places which are fascinating. We loved that he jumped out of vehicle to show us seeds and berries and one we could taste. The smells of the mint and other herbs made the trip really good. Tile factory (his favourite!) we got to see how hard it is to make traditional ceramic tiles which sell for a euro. Swim in waterfall was the best!

Alberto was so friendly, engaging and knowledgable! He made sure to understand what we wanted to see and experience and gave us a really authentic and fun experience! He took us to places rarely visited by tourists which made the trip extra special. Highly recommend requesting to go swimming at the waterfall and to see the tile factory!

This was our second tour with Alberto, and once again, he exceeded all expectations. He is incredibly knowledgeable about the Algarve, sharing insights and local history that truly brought the region to life.

We spent the entire day with him and it flew by. Alberto was attentive, thoughtful, and great with our kids, making sure everyone was comfortable and engaged throughout the tour. He took us to beautiful waterfalls and some truly hidden gems we never would have found on our own, peaceful spots away from the crowds that really captured the spirit of the Algarve.

The day was a perfect mix of adventure, relaxation, and learning. We felt very well looked after and left with wonderful memories.

Highly recommend booking with Alberto. He’s a true professional and a pleasure to spend time with. We’ll definitely be back for a third trip! Thank you Alberto!!!!

After short delay we had the best trip around the algarve we could wish for! Alberto is a tour guide who knows about everything you see on the tour and can take you to every place you want to. The Pizza was the best, freshly homemade in his own oven . Thank you again, we had such a good time!
If you want to make memories to recognize than book this trip. We had a 6 hour ride on the buggy. Choose clothes that can get Dirty👍🏻

5 stars!! Alberto is such a lovely guy. He is so knowledgeable and friendly. Makes the most amazing pizzas! Would highly recommend the tour to anybody visiting the Algarve.

Alberto un grande, el mejor guía de la zona, los recomiendo 100%, y encima se le da bien hacer pizzas. Es el mejor te quiero Alberto.

Die Safari mit Alberto ist für jeden zu empfehlen, der sich einen individuellen Ausflug wünscht. Alberto geht auf alle Wünsche ein bezüglich der Orte, die besucht werden möchten. Seien es Berggipfel, Korkeichenwälder, Flüsse, Quellen und der Wasserfall.... Wir haben ihm ziemlich schnell gesagt, dass wir nicht so oft anhalten möchten. Denn zu Beginn hat er sehr oft angehalten, weil er uns so viel über die Pflanzen erzählen wollte. Da wir schon ziemlich viel darüber wussten, haben wir ihn irgendwann gebeten, weiterzufahren und auch nicht ununterbrochen zu erklären. Auf all diese Wünsche ist er gerne eingegangen und immer freundlich geblieben dabei. Ganz hervorragend und empfehlenswert ist seine Pizza und die Art, wie er sie in seinem transportablen Backofen zubereitet, ist ein Erlebnis. Der Teig, der vorher 48 Stunden gereift ist, hat einen wunderbaren Boden entstehen lassen, der sehr knusprig war. Es ist Alberto ein Anliegen, dass seine Gäste glücklich sind und dann ist er noch glücklicher, so sagt er immer.
Unser Ausflug hat statt der vereinbarten 4 Stunden über 5 Stunden gedauert. Und Alberto wurde nicht müde, uns wunderschöne Orte zu zeigen. Wir haben es sehr genossen und durften am Ende noch die verborgene Pizza mit nach Hause nehmen.

Alberto vertelt over van alles wat hij onderweg ziet. Weet veel over de flora en fauna en laat je ruiken en proeven .
Zoekt de mooiste plekjes op en wijst je hoe je er een mooie foto van kan maken. Zeker een aanrader
