Instead, I was hit with an automatic subscription charge of $27.99 just one week later on August 24, 2026.I contacted customer support immediately while the transaction was still pending to cancel and request a refund. They flat out refused to return my money.This platform relies on hidden terms and predatory billing loops to trap users. I want my $27.99 refunded immediately. Do not trust this service.

I was trying to purchase a classic car. So I did the premium 7 day trial at $5.00 cheap so I'll try it. Gave vin number after getting past the adds insurance and other updates it came up with NOTHING AT ALL NO INFORMATION AT ALL. After paying to see report with nothing in it except it's a 1968 Corvette vin number that it told me when I put the vin in. Since the car is prior to 1981 they can't decode the Vin. They wouldn't give a refund for waisting my time or not saying on there site it did not work for vehicles prior to 1981. Just a waisting of time and money. ; Ok this is a update after posting review customer support is AI and about useless but after above review I assume a live human did process a refund $5.00 which is what I paid it's nice but it would be nice to be upfront about 1981 and later. I'm going to raise my review by one point for at least trying.

Your ability to locate a specific vehicle in our database can be dependent on a number of factors, such as the amount of information collected on that vehicle by government agencies, insurance records and industry sources. Additionally, our data includes vehicles after 1981 when the standard 17-digit VIN was created. Automobiles, motorcycles, trucks and buses may contain vehicle history records. Unfortunately, we don't have history reports for RVs, motorhomes and tractors.

Bumper is a website that provides you with access to vehicle records that were formerly only available to dealerships.
You can search a VIN number, by vehicle type, or license plate to locate vehicle records and much more. All searches are run by our customers, once an account is created.
All accounts are created by our subscribers. After further review, we have located an account that matches your full name and email address.
When signing up for our background reports, the subscription does outline that it will auto-renew until elected to cancel. You can contact us to cancel at any time, and will not be billed for your next billing cycle.
Moreover, your Bumper account has been suspended because we detected either suspicious activity, activity that fell outside our Terms of Service, or received an alert from your financial institution.
Bumper suspended the account for your protection; recent charges (if any) have been returned to your credit card. If you feel this action was in error, please contact us at support@Bumper.com.

I used this service for a single…
I used this service for a single history on one vehicle and paid by Paypal. A week later my papal was charged for a monthly subscription. I called customer service and was easily able to cancel the unintended subscription and immediately received the refund. Even though the representative said it could be 10 days, I received the email from Bumper and a message from PayPal that the refund was complete, while still on the phone with Bumper.
