This is a shady company. I don't usually bother with reviews if I'm just annoyed. But when I feel scammed, I want to make sure others know about it.
If you're surprised by Authorize.net charges, I think it means they haven't been clear about what the charges were going to be. And that's the worst type of company to be in such an important partnership with.
As others have mentioned, they will start taking fees from your bank account IMMEDIATELY after your application, even if you don't have a functioning merchant account approved yet.
Maybe a few weeks later a partner starts to follow up and ask for underwriting details on your application. By that time, you've probably already found another merchant account and wondering why authorize.net has been charging you.
Just a heads up. Hard pass unless you have no possible other options.

Cannot recommend. Two significant problems - one billing and the other tech support.
Purchased a dedicated VPN, promised ready in "hours". Waited and waited for the email. After several days logged into portal to discover it had been activated. Tried, and failed to authenticated. Instructions on website for OpenVPN. Went back and forth with customer support and discovered they are using something else. Still not working. Email back and forth for 5 more days (they only reply once a day, even if you respond in seconds) until he said "ok, changed something on the server, try again" and it finally worked. Always 1 sentence answers or shorter. Didn't care if it worked or not.
For the billing issue, use Bitcoin. Accidentally paid twice. Contacted them immediately request the just give me 2 months. They said not our problem, contact the payment processor, which is some Hong Kong company. Tried to message them several times, no response. Messaged WorldVPN back about this and they asked if I called them? I explained that I'd been trying for weeks with no response.
In the end, paid for 2 months, got about 20 days of service. Oh yeah, no incoming/port forwarding on the "dedicated vpn" connection.
Waste of time and energy with this company unfortunately.

First time ordering from this company, arrived in 9 days in great condition. Was the best price I could find for my country (Thailand). Thanks!

I am in Thailand, booking a trip for my brother to come visit.
Booked the ticket at 2pm on Tuesday. Got email 2 hours later that some kind of bank problem and they will contact my bank when my bank is open.
Got a voicemail and an email at 3am to say they need to conference call with my bank for approval, call back urgently.
Called them at 10am, waited on hold for 15 minutes, and the only resonse was "we already cancelled the ticket, you didn't call us back".
The CS agent said they auto cancel 24 hours after booking. The time stamp on my "Welcome to CheapAir.com!" email is exactly 20 hours before my phone call. I made this point, but the CS agent just repeated that my booking must have been over 24 hours ago.
I'm not gonna fight that battle with you guys, sayonara.
Edit after CheapAir reply to my review: I appreciate that you're trying to moderate your internet reviews, however it still stands that your business has 2.4/10 ranking on Trustpilot at this time. Most of the complaints have to do with negative customer service experiences as I too have experienced. Ultimately, I just don't have the time or energy to work it out with you. Hopefully it will soon be less expensive to fix your customer service experience relative to lost revenue due to the poor internet reputation.

If you need to hire great talent that can get the job done right the first time, run away from guru.com.
Gurus can delete their own negative feedback, so why would anyone bother leaving any feedback in the first place?
When you post a job you may get 50 responses, but how can you determine who is capable and who is not? The review function won't help you out here. Gurus spam you claiming they can handle the work, when they cannot.
Worst of all, Gurus can set up the job/agreement to bill you in a very confusing way and if you're not watching closely, they'll get your money out of escrow/safe pay before they do any work at all. Then what leverage do you have left to get the project delivered? If this happens, guru tech support will just blame you for the error.
Highly recommend finding another source where quality of service and repeat business appear to be more common goals of the platform.
EDIT: The guru finally acknowledged they had not managed things on my $1000+ project and asked me for another 2 week extension or a refund of the escrow money. I accepted the refund. Then, while "withdrawing" the funds back to my credit card, Guru adds insult to injury by assessing a 3.5% "transaction fee" for the convenience.
